Here are the list of players at the Rocket pick or lower first round in realgm's mock draft:

    Hibbert
    Hickson
    CDR
    Hendrix
    Ibaka
    Ellington

    Notables in their 2nd round:

    Courtney Lee
    Alonzo Gee
    Joey Dorsey

If this were truly correct, I would be happy with either Hibbert or CDR depending on any trades Morey could make to fill the other needs. Who do you take and why?

I thought Hibbert wasn't coming out,but if he is then the guy is going much higher than where we could get him.Roy is the real McCoy.

Hibbert was a senior and is definitely available. He's been my pick all along especially if Deke retires.

Great combination of size, skills and is only 21-years-old for a college senior. Not bad considering how NBA ready he is.

I dont like Hibbert. He's isnt really athletic and sorts of plods around. I really think he should have destroyed guys with his size in college but he never was dominating.

I definitely like Rush and then CDR. Both can come in and contribute right now
If Bill Walker is in the 2nd round go get him or Joey Dorsey (Otis Thorpe)

I think Shan Foster has really been mucking up his draft workouts. He's showing his range doesn't extend to the NBA line and might not even be drafted.

As for Hibbert, he has really developed the reputation of someone who doesn't have the will to dominate nor the ability to step it up in the clutch. He was supposed to be numero uno on a championship-contending squad with Jeff Green gone to the NBA, but the way Georgetown folded like a lawn chair in both late regular season games and the tournament it's really hurt Hibbert's stock. Not only that, but Georgetown has also had a couple transfers since that time.

No doubt about it Hibbert plays soft. Even if he was on a bad Georgetown team, the suckiness of his teammates should have made Hibbert shine. Even so, it's hard to get a really good big. Maybe he can be developed.

^ I think he's soft, too. Strikes me as a Adonyle Foyle type...even though their college careers were pretty different. I think backup SG/SF is a bigger need. Yao and Tracy are both hurt all the time, but assuming Deke comes back, and with Scola/Landry, I think we are better there than they are with only Luther Head as a backup 2 guard, especially when it is now so painfully obvious he is barely capable of that as a tweener...

Uh, Georgetown has finished top 10 the last 2 years. Hibbert may be soft but this made no sense.

You don't run your offense through Roy Hibbert but he's got some pluses. I like him more than most here and think he would be a good backup for Yao.

Nothing against Georgetown's accomplishments but can you say

    OVERRATED

#10 Seed Davidson Knocks Off #2 Seed Georgetown 74-70

Overrated because of a 4 point loss to Davidson?

The same Davidson that demolished a very good Wisconsin team to enter the Elite 8, and missed out on a Final Four berth by 2 points to an extremely talented eventual champion, Kansas. Davidson ended up ranked 9th overall.

Losing to Davidson does not make Georgetown a bad team, regardless of how NCAA seeded Davidson going into the tourney.

    Backup swingman before backup centre.

    deke>>>>luther head

but the ideal solution is to take the best player available at no.25

hopefully someone will slip to us. like chase budinger :p :p :p not likely but draft website writers will be GMs if they were all right.

If still available, we need to draft Richard Roby in the 2nd round. Great shooter and ready to contribute immediately. Can create his shot and is very athletic.

If we draft a big man in the 1st round we should definetily take a look at this guy.

This draft has us taking two centers. Why would we do that?

Sasha Khan was a center in college but he will probably be a PF in the NBA.

Kaun won't play NBA (he sucks)

Take CDR - even if he gets found out on D, he'll be able to make some contributions by scoring!
