Props to Mchale for extending his bench tonight and playing both Pablo and nick the dick Johnson together with harden and Ariza. I like it

Why the Dwight post ups though?

Because he had a mismatch and we didn't have many other options at the time. Smith and Harden were on the bench, and D-Mo and T-Jones were out.

Believe me, a healthy Rockets team will rarely post up Dwight unless he's got someone much smaller guarding him.

You don't have to Post him up, that's a poor excuse. Prigs is perfectly capable of running the PNR with Dwight. This is what worries me the most about Mchale, he still does not get this one simple aspect of Dwight's game. Dwight is Deandre Jordan not Shaquille O'Neal there is no such thing as a mismatch because all you have to do it foul him and even if you don't 7 out of 10 times he is going to miss. He is not going to make his post shots, when he makes two in a row it becomes fools gold and both Mchale and Dwight think he is Hakeem.

Honestly .. . .this game was never in any real doubt IMO
I never felt like the Wizards were going to win
Even on their runs . . the Rockets would turn it back on and say ENOUGH OF THAT NOW!!

So it was as good a game as any to test and practice themm

Agree...the Wizards really looked bad outside of Wall most of the game. Really a tough stretch we are going through with all the injuries...so good to get this one.

Great last play call there by COY McHale... I swear it is an absolute miracle that we can win despite McHale as much as we do.

    Le'bump.

    1. Didn't sub Capela in for the 2nd Free Throw. Dorsey doesn't box out his man and Toronto gets a jump ball with Johnson vs. Harden.

    2. Doesn't double team DeRozan when he's on absolute fire...

These are the small strategic mistakes that are going to cost us a series.

McHale was bad the whole second half (let Dorsey stay in too long, took Capela out when he was securing the paint, and that fail of a last play). Rox missing all those free throws didn't help, but McHale is the big disadvantage to the Rox against other good teams. Not to keep beating a dead horse but WHY did this guy get an extension?????

With McHale as coach, this team goes nowhere in playoffs. Period.
