So if the plan is to sign him, somebody has to go, right??

    Beverley / Prigioni / Payton
    Harden / Gordon / McDaniels
    Ariza / Brewer / Dekker
    Anderson / DMo / Beasley / Harrell
    Capela / Nene / Onuaku

Trade Beasley, Brewer, and maybe Dmo for a defensive minded 3 or 4. Sign Lance.

Figured it was a decent time to bump this. He's looking like a lock to make the roster if Bev really does have a torn meniscus like another poster said. His athleticism clearly shows and he has the defense we need at the PG position.

One of he and Ennis will make it. He's more of the defender type, and Ennis is more of the ball handler/low TO type. The tiebreaker could be shooting.

Before you trash Ennis and say that Prigioni serves essentially the same backup role for us, just remember this about defending PG's...we've also got a guy named KJ McDaniels that could probably defend the point better than anybody else on the roster. I really think KJ will be the guy that gets that final rotation spot to start the season; his athleticism and dominance of the non-rotational NBAer's is undeniable. It's time he had a shot with the big boys.

And yes, like you I'm sad that we have to keep Brewer and Prigioni. But based on preseason rotations, they're clearly making it. The NBA is a vet-driven league, and the security of having known quantities like them is probably going to preclude a young lowly drafted prospect from taking their spots on the roster.

If that's the case then Glove Jr all day. Ennis from what I've seen is TRASH. Everytime he's stepped on the floor it's a turnover or a brick. Payton comes in and positive things happen.

    Glove Jr>>>>>Prigs/Ennis

Way too early to judge Ennis. His job description would be much more comprehensive than GPII, and he just arrived within the month. New team, new teammates, new system.....it's going to take some time.

Now that Ennis and KJ are gone, is bringing GP2 over from the Vipers an option? Seems like we should be able to but I don't know how it impacts our cap space. I'd like to see him get a chance at some backup minutes in cases of injury. He's played pretty well in D-League, although he's still only shooting 30% from the arc.

I'd to see what he could do in garbage minutes with our young core. I see him in the d-league for a while as Morey and Mike usually don't branch to far out. Unless injury...

Have you watched any of the D League games? I haven't felt the need to, but GPII is probably worth looking at.
