http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-2014-draft-class-to-recreate-96-cover-photo? Will this draft class live up to the hype?
1996 turned out to be legendary of course but the opinion of that class in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 and the individual players was all over the place. Funny how the indivdual players in the '96 class played out and is the classic argument of waiting until their careers are over to judge a draft class.
One of the strange things about that draft class is how, if you ranked the players in it every year you'd see major fluctuations. There was a point where Rahim, Marbury, Kittles, Z, etc.. would rank really high, then fall off. Allen would be high, fall to the middle, and is now high again. Even Randy Livingston and Roy Rogers had some surges.
That 1996 draft produced a lot of greats: Greatest 3-point shooter of all-time (based on # made): Ray Allen Greatest point guard in the past 14 years: Steve Nash Greatest shooting guard behind Jordan: Kobe Bryant Greatest basketball quote in the past 20 years: "Why do you shoot so many threes?" "Because there are no fours"
