Well.. we got two big games here. I think New Orleans can actually lose this one because the Hawks are playing well at home.. Portland has the homecourt for this game but the Lakers are tough to beat, I think LA will take this one.
Hopefully LA wins, it's not like anyone is catching LA unless they just suddenly drop 8 games. I see NOH losing too...but they keep escaping with close wins.
To put it lightly, the Hawks are having chemistry problems despite beating Detroit. If the Hornets play a good game, they will win. The Blazers will not beat the Lakers. They just aren't grown up enough yet.
Right now, the Hawks are completely imploding with this whole Josh Smith vs. Mike Woodson fiasco, so I would be hard-pressed to believe that they will win tonight. Besides, ever since that trade for Chandler was rescinded, the Hornets have been like a cat with 9 lives.....they have yet to blow anyone out, but they keep escaping these games with 4th quarter wins. It would be awesome if the Hawks could give them their 24th loss, but I don't see it happening. And the Blazers have the worst record against West contenders out of any of the playoff teams for a reason.....they're youth is really starting to show now in this stretch run. Out of the two games though, I think the Blazers have a better shot at winning tonight. But, I could be wrong. That's why they play the games.
last time I checked we were ahead of the Blazers with them having played 2 less games. the pressure is on them to keep up with us... If we won and the Blazers won tonight, we'd still be ahead of them. I want the Lakers to come down to Earth. take care of business, Rockets.
What are you talking about? The feud was over the same day it started, the Hawks are just fine inside their locker room. Plus, they have a great home court record.
and NO is playing arguably the worst 2nd quarter of the season Hawks up Nine, I hope hawks can continue this kind of play.
The Hawks are a horrible 4th quarter team. Don't be surprised if they blow the lead and end up losing. Plus, the Hawks haven't exactly done us any favors lately -- losses to Denver, Portland, Utah, LA lately. I'm sure New Orleans won't be any different.
The Hornets were pathetic down the stretch. They played with no urgency at all. I can appreciate Dominique Wilkins trying to credit the Hawks defense, but it was the Hornets taking their sweet time running the clock down despite being behind. Whatever extra pep in their step the Hornets had since getting Chandler back was missing tonight.
