That was probably the last movie he made that was tolerable give up most of his salary for sequel rights?? I dont get that if he wrote everything himself for his movies wouldnt any sequel rights be his alone to sell anyway when selling the original? a studio can buy sequel rights only from him if he created the original. now if he sold the sequel rights when he sold the original thats his own fault. i really cant stand this guy and i refuse to see anything made by him, the village was the last movie i saw of his too but i wasnt thrilled with signs or unbreakable...i have a lot of friends who've seen the other films since and they all have the same negative reviews for the films.
Hmmm... even Mexico City reporters know his movies have sucked as of lately... According to the current BOX OFFICE MOJO standings: With only 2 weeks in the theaters, DESPICABLE ME, a kid's movie without a following and with almost half as much budget as "Last Airbender", has already surpassed its gross total of 3 weeks.
We are in the same boat, I can not stand him in the slightest. I've stopped giving him any of my money even though it won't make a shred of difference. Last movie I paid to see of his was The Happening right around the part where they are literally running away from......... Spoiler wind I decided never again......
Ive seen all his films except The Happening and The Last Airbender. The only one I didnt enjoy was Lady in the Water. I think The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were great...the Village was very good...and Signs was ok. Regardless, he definitely has an interesting mind and his ideas are unique and different, so even though I might not be a big fan of all his movies, I still respect what he brings to the table.
Yeah! They also hailed American Jazz musicians long before the US did. Not to mention drawing attention to american genre films of the 30's - 50's. But what do they know. I refuse to see The Last Airbender on account of that Slumdog kid. Dude should not be in any movies unless they are set in India or a US Quicky Mart.
village was horrible, never will watch one of his movies again... when i went to see inception there was a preview for some new movie by mns. once the preview ended and they said who was directing it some one in the audience said out loud "its gonna suck" and everyone had a good laugh. glad im not the only person that knows this guy is an idiot.
I must come to MNS's defense here and say he's not an idiot... Spoiler He just makes MOVIES THAT SUCK.
sooooo you're saying they havent done anything for us in 60 years? just wanted to make sure i'm understanding you.
The Village has lots of meaning behind it...if you got that part of it, then you guys wouldnt think the movie sucks.
what meaning are you referring to? that it's possibly to isolate people from the rest of the world? That people can be manipulated to beleive something thats not true?
Reach and Grasp OH I GOT IT . . in all of them but Just because he was reaching for something doesn't me he grasped it h*ll in most of them he practically hits you over the head with the 'deeper meaning'. Rocket River
