http://www.50millionpounds.com/default.aspx After reading about LeBron's involvement in creating a Cleveland group for this challenge I decided to sign up. I think it's a cool initiative. Heaven knows there are a lot of people out there that are carrying extra weight. This board has a lot of supportive people so I thought maybe we could try to form a group on the site. Is anyone else here trying to improve your lifestyle through improved diet and exercise? If there are a few of us I will create a group where we can record our success and represent Clutchfans at the same time. Also, if you are going to reply just to be critical of me or the challenge, just refrain from hitting the submit button. Thanks.
Sounds like a great idea. If there's an "oil crisis" that encourages people to drive less, why not encourage people to eat less with the food price crisis...
I haven't joined, but I might....I've got a lot going on right now....what's involved? Just signing up and being done with it? To answer HayesFan's question: Yes, I am trying to improve my life through diet and exercise. I've been working out again with weights and fast-walking 1-2 miles a day. I've lost nearly 10 pounds in the last 1.5 weeks. Looking at me you might not find me overweight, and I'm not, really, but I definitely have weight around my mid-section and genetically high cholesterol and triglycerides. I currently weigh 194lbs and I'm just shy of 6' tall. I'd like to get into the 180-185 range with more muscle mass and less body fat. Meds are inevitable with my lipid levels and family history. I'm just trying to be healthier. I haven't had a drink in nearly two weeks (which really makes the weekends suck) and I'm getting my lipids checked again in another 1.5 weeks. I can drink on the weekends again after that, so long as I don't party like I'm wont to do. So, now that I've provided entirely too much information, carry on.
Okay sounds like there is enough of us! I will create the team and give the details here in a minute. Hopefully with all of us checking in it will keep us motivated.
Not at all. Sign up first then... Here is the team page https://www.50millionpounds.com/cha....aspx?id=2e04e94e-7d34-4e3a-8364-7772fe801dff You should be able to join fairly easily since I made it an open team.
sure, why not. I lost about 15lbs recently, but then slacked off for the past month and have been stuck at 185. I want to get to 165 someday maybe. http://sparkpeople.com/ is the best free website I've seen for weight loss.
Yes, I think so. Sparkpeople is the best one out there that you don't have to pay for in my opinion. It was actually created by someone here in Cincinnati.
