I like how you mock McCain, Faos.

I too remember the ad saying McCain had won the first debate, which was released BEFORE the first debate, of course.

Ironically he did go on to win that debate.

    Funny because he didn't.

He wish he had though so he wouldn't have to go from being up 5 points to being down 7.

    Faos,

I am not meaning to instigate here, I voted Obama jokingly. But I do have a question for you as I do consider myself undecided at the moment.

How do you feel about McCain's general lack of economic education? The guy has basically gone on the record to admit he leans on his advisors alot in understanding financial matters of state...

I thought during the first debate his comment to put a freeze on all government spending other than military was probably his biggest gaffe...

My largest concern with a McCain administration is that alot of the Republican figureheads that lead Bush's administration into this mess are going to remain in a leadership role. That to me is very alarming, and nothing McCain has said or done would lead me to believe anything else would be the case...

I agree, this thread gave me a nice little chortle. I don't know why people are being so hard of Faos.

I have the same fears about Obama and his lack of foreign policy experience.

That is something to take into consideration...but the democrats have had a big hand in this mess as well.

What you have to hope for is both, if elected, would surround themselves with the people who have the strengths to compliment the new presidents weaknesses. It's too bad we don't know who those people are right now, that could possibly make the choice easier.

It doesn't bother me. I was actually hoping people would wait until the debate is over. That's what I'm doing. The big problem for me is it's the debut of Ron Artest tonight.

I am DVRing both. They are equally meaningless exhibitions that nonetheless make for highly enjoyable watching.

Ron Artest. An impressive fifteen points and holds health insurance companies accountable in limited minutes off the bench.

I loved it when Obama asked McCain how many planes he had crashed.

I have greater fears about McCain's lack of foreign policy experience. Which does not exist - he never served on the Senate Foreign Affairs committee - the only place where he would have conceivably gotten any in an official capacity. His foreign policy seems to be a deep inner anger and an erratic temper.

We know rather well for McCain. Sarah Palin, Phil Gramm, Kevin Hassett, Holz-Eakin, Fiorina - those are the McCain people. Ouch.
