I seriously don't know why anyone's bothering to address that ridiculous thread. It just adds more fuel to the fire for the trolls. Howard's a damn good center, but it's very premature to declare him the best center in the NBA. Give him a couple of years and we'll see.
i dont know what game u was watching but its always great to get the win. Dwight did get his payback with the 3 fouls in 3 mins. It was just a sloppy game great win Rockets!!!!!!
Matt Bullard said Dwight Howard's the best center in the league during the telecast. Probably 90% of people outside of Houston and China would agree with that. It's not about how well you play in a particular head-to-head matchup. It's about how well you play on a nightly basis, and in particular against playoff-caliber teams.
Those were called cheap makeup fouls by the refs. They got an earful during halftime about the difference in fouls between Yao and Dwight and they made up phantom calls.
Dwight gets massive numbers against ****ty centers. ****ty centers way out number the good centers in the league so i probably would still take Dwight against most teams. Regardless, Yao pwns Dwight
It was Scola and Landry who got 4 fouls on Howard and really limited his minutes.......... Yes. Yao played great offensively but the credits should go to Scola and Landry because they were the ones who "contained" Howard.
Right...because stomping playoff teams in the east is so hard. I'll willing to bet Dwights stats against Utah are weaker than yao's.
you can't just assume this over one game, if you look at the stat, you can clearly see that Howard is better. Howard, averages a double-doblue almost every night, while yao is closed, but still. I am not sure he was manhandled because he did get around Yao and scored 2 baskets. But I was really hoping Howard to be on the court, so Yao could take advantage. Yao one on one with Howard, it's a mismatch, all day baby. Stan realized that and started to double team Yao even when Howard was on him. Pinky and other teens take a note, Yall have a lot growing-up to do.
I would say we better don't compare players too much. Yao Ming is better at something and Dwigh.H is better at sth, but hell yeah, good to see Yao Ming out scores D.Howard.
lawl Dwight is great until he comes up against some real competition. There's no way he's ever going to drop 24, 14, and 4 blk or whatever he's averaging this season on Yao..
