I wouldn't call dirk soft. He always seems to play even with bad injuries.

You are lying to yourself if Tracy McGrady isn't on your list. And I'm a huge T-Mac fan.

Soft is more than not playing through injury
    which is part of it
    but
Seem to just not GET THE JOB DONE!

    I left T-mac off . .cause I am already seens as a T-Mac basher
    and
I don't think he as soft as the others

he's played through 2 big injuries this year: knee and shoulder.

    what's your definition of soft?

dirk is not soft (he plays through injuries), he's just a choker.

He makes Keith Van Horn look like a walking Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels match.

dirk isn't a choker until the gs series...and he didn't choke in all 6 games...our stars choked in a lot of big games too.

    Good question.

In my opinion I consider a "soft" player to be somebody that wilts under pressure and is afraid of getting hit or being physical. Basically the combination of backing down if a defender gets up in your grill or disappearing in crunchtime combined with somebody that doesn't like to play physical.

So basically, Vince Carter in a nutshell.

Injuries can be factored into that too, such as the other night whenever it was essentially do-or-die time for the Nets and their hopes of making the playoffs, good ol' Vinsanity sat out with some mysterious ankle injury that he didn't have the next night. Typical.

    Couldn't agree more about Dirk.

I would say Tmac is soft now because he generally avoids hard contact at this stage in his career. But about two years ago you probably can't say that.

His cousin counterpart, however, is soft physically and mentally

My definition of "soft" has nothing to do with injuries. Sometimes they are unavoidable.

I define soft as being in the penalty for the last 7 minutes of Game 7 at home and settling for outside jumpshots the rest of the way.
