Ok rowdies, I think it would be awesome to get into this a little more, fan wise...

we got the group, but the next step needs to be made...

did anyone, or is anyone willing to be a little more then a usally rockets fan?!

    "boring"

songs should be made, which everyone can sing...an atmosphere to have the oponents legs shake till the end of game...

    here is an example,

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/u0rMe2Vyb9E"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/u0rMe2Vyb9E" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

ok I know, this is hard to get right away, but serioulsy we need to start doing something like this

I would like to organize stuff like this if I lived in Houston, but eh, yea I am in florida..

    comon someone step up!

Any Fan Games to attend as group from clucthfans.net would be nice. That way we can all get together and make some noise for our Team The Houston Rockets. I would like the Spurs game on the December 22nd to one of those games.

true, but I do work 50 hours a week and go to college

it's hard for me to pick up some time and fly up there

it would be easier if I lived there...

If you look closely at those PAO clips at youtube you will notice that they have a conductor on the floor leading the chants. They are very organized.

The Rockets' arena announcer sucks. He does a poor job of getting the crowd in the game. For example he'll just put the defense music without leading the chant. That's a recipe for complacency from the crowd and that's why when the music plays so few in the arena chant.

Anyway, why don't we do something as simple as clapping hands and chanting Houston! or Rockets! or even a player's name during a game like the video below.

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hi7iTy6zn-o"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hi7iTy6zn-o" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

    thats a start def!

I hate those boring announcers, he can't lead the fans like a real conductor...thats probably the first thing that needs to be done...find someone who can lead us!

I definitely wouldn't mind. Sometimes, I do get tired of trying to get Rockets fans to stand up during introductions....

I say we do what some of the soccer fans do. Everytime someone gets crossed, the whole crowed should say "Ole!"

I tell you what I plan to do.

    Expect the worst.

McGrady's back is going to act up.
Yao and Battier will have worn themselves out from the WC tournament.
Alston will continue to shoot poorly.
Howard will contribute absolutely nothing offensively.
    Lucas and Novak? Busts.
    V-Span? Nope.
    Head and Hayes? Sophomore jinx.

After all, isn't this what we are going to hear? It's either going to be "The Rockets don't have enough to compete..." or "This is the year the Rockets take off!!" Either way, we just don't know.

So, unlike last year, I will withhold judgment until the season begins and progresses. I do know it has been demonstrated in many elite athlete's careers that at some point, their excellent play translates into wins rather than losses, and they get past the non-playoff or 1st-round-and-out hump. It's extremely rare to find a great athlete, such as Yao or McGrady, who doesn't at some point lead their team to significant success. If that means anything.

Our motto this year should be "It's All About the Scoreboard."

    what?!

you crazy...so you expect the rockets to win with that attitude

man I would lead your a** straight out of the arena!

thats why we suck as fans!

its this and its that, bla bla....

the fans need to start creating something, at least a small group was created, called the "rowdies", the fu** is that!?

couldn't we come up with a diff name....passion sucks a**..no one is really willing to do something about it...we need a leader! fu** popcorn and beer, where is the passion for this game people

and please do not respond with "calm down guy, bla bla!"

    wake the f up!

Go watch NCAA. IMHO, chanting at a NBA bball game is lame. Singing your national anthem at a WORLD tournament (ie WCOB, world cup) is cool, but at a NBA game...
"Yao Ming, Yao Ming Yao Ming Yao Ming, Yao~Ming, Yao~Ming..." - Disgusting.

    Just cheer, be loud.

well, from what ive been seeing from this board is that they wanted to but the rich stiffs on the lower levels ruin everything!! why are they even going to watch rockets games if they cant even cheer on the rockets?! that is just pathetic! me, i live in la. and whenever i watch either the clips or the lakers play the rockets, i cheer my heart and soul out. im proudly wearing my rockets red jersey in a sea of purple and gold or red and blue fans in staples center! i got beer tossed at me, got verbally abused (and sometimes it becomes racial), got physically abused (especially the playoffs when we played the lakers), got kicked out because security thought i was the one who started trouble. and it dont matter to me, coz thats how i love the rockets! cmon guys, whenever i watch rockets play at home on tv, its pathetic. no offense to the guys that i see cheer their heart out, those guys i give them their props! but for those blue-collared fools who cant even stand up when the rockets make a basket makes me sick to my stomach! we really need to make our home court be a threat to the other team as well. make the other team hate to play in the toyota center! its not really home court advantage if the other team cant even be scared of the people in the arena. so cmon guys, when the season starts, go out and cheer your heart out for the rockets! f' the rich pricks! make them spill their expensive wine!
