Yao has the lowest attempts by far on that list. That must be changed.

its also premature to 'fire van gundy' or 'wanting to trade for andrew bynum' or 'evaluating rudy gay trade' or 'what's wrong with tmac'
    etc

im not casting the 1st stone, im casting the 10000000th

Individual stats mean zero, compared to team wins.
I don't really care if Yao will finish first on that list, or Battier last in his position in rebounding, or Tmac never comes back, or Alston is mediocre at the point, if the team starts and keeeps winning. Even if it means Spanoulis will not play, as long as the team plays well.

The team is above all, always.

Actually what's wrong with Tmac is not too early. His injury is a carryover from last season. ANd he is not back yet. Maybe he will and maybe he won't be the same but he is not the same now. He looks off and for one am concerned.

What's impressive is that while he is #10, among the top ten scorers in league, he has by far the lowest # of attempts and by far the highest FG% (it's not even close. 67% = ridiculous).

Yao could quite possibly be *the* most potent scorer in the NBA.

Unfortunately, there will be no way a low post player will ever lead the NBA in scoring. With zone defenses nowadays, it's just too easy to deny a post player the ball. Teams can basically front Yao with 2 players and defend him on the post. You can't score if you don't have the ball. Dream wouldn't be able to score with today's rules. It's so guard oriented - small ball focused that the days of dominant big men is gone.

If Yao played with the same rules as when Shaq played in his prime, I would bet that Yao would be as dominant or even more so because of his free throw percentage.

Yao is still #10 in scoring.

Let the people who hate Yao being the top #10 in scoring have some!

He's up to 27.3 points and 10 boards per game. :D

his scoring and rebounding will look VERY impressive, but his impact on the game and importance to the team will get him the edge in MVP voting...as long as his numbers hold up.
