Ish doesn't really fit on any team because of that.

Second unit did well holding off the the Spurs big three. Canaan really showed what he does as a player. He seemed okay being the main ball handler, got the ball to an open Troy Daniels a few times.

I'm still worried about his ability to finish inside. He's shown he can get into the lane, but can't really do anything once he gets there. I think all his points tonight came off of jumpers, which is cool cause he made them, but if his jumper isn't falling, what else can he do on a consistent basis?

Right, no excuse for Canaan not to have the back up spot at this point.

Yeah, Ish looks like a fringe NBA player at best. Was shocking the Rox brought him in for a try out. Looked like for a while he was actually close to making the team.

Feels like a showcase game to me, Plow. Won't mind him going if we get back a serious superstar player. Can't imagine Morey moving Canaan for anything short of a much better player. He's better than Lin and he's set to explode on the NBA stage this year. This dude can fill it up against anybody.

You are crazy if you think the Rockets will trade a (YOUNG) talent like Cannaan.

In 2 years this kid will be a star

This was the 3rd game this preseason we had a higher 3p% than 2p%, which is a bit worrying (of course Dwight wasn't playing again)

Interesting that Coach is still not 100% in terms of the rotation

Also, he mentioned that Ish AND Isiah will have to play well in the reg season. In other words, they may both make the squad

I don't know what you have been watching but......Yes Canaan has that kind of talent.

Call me crazy but the kid has a great amount of talent.
And when I say star I mean like Sam Cassell........A star in Houston's eyes.

Canaan is an offensive dynamo that will wreck in this league for many years to come. You can see this one coming a mile away. He may never be a good defender. I don't know what he'll become on the defensive end. But it has been very, very clear to me since I watched him last season that he was a big time NBA offensive player. He's the kind of player that can simply destroy a defense because of his ability to jack from almost mid-court and his ability to split the double and take it to the rim and finish with contact. He's going to get even better offensively. If we trade him (along with other talent), we'd better be getting a major star back.

And I'm pretty sure that's what happens. Either he becomes a major piece of a trade for a superstar OR he stays here and becomes a primo playmaker/scorer taking over when Harden is out of the game.
