Does Asik's Rebounding and Defense make up for his horrid offensive game?

Rebounds + Defense > Offense?

  1. Yes -- his impact on the boards and on defense is tremendous.

Kardeşim, it's (some kind of poet) called "bard" in English. I doubt Ömer's surname is the "aşık" word we use in the meaning of "in love". Isn't it obvious?

If Asik had a good offensive game together with his rebounding and defense ... Morey wouldn't have been able to get him.

He's not a finished product offensively either ...

... so let's give him some time.

My concern is how we're going to able to keep him once this contract is up!

Yes I am. The only thing I am not fan of in Rox organization is this board. Bunch of whiners.

i love tim duncan since my childhood. so my regular team is spurs. what i say is, omer has already some offensive skills. you can see it when he plays for turkish national team. in chicago, he was not expected to play offensively. so he was shy and he got worse offensively. we knew that he had a potential offensively(though not great) as well as defensively(great).

Asiks offense is fine. He hits his layups, even quite a few contested ones. And he improved his Freethrows. That's all he needs to do. His rebounds and defense his elite and that alone makes Hume a bargain at 8 million a year.

We can build around Harden and Asik - probably also around Parsons and maybe even around Lin. I truly believe we only need one more star at PF and some time to develop our players and chemistry to be contenders...

His offense seems better than advertised. Very pleased with where he is and hoping he'll continue to improve.

The NBA TV announcers were drooling over his overall game. Kept exclaiming about how he can make shots around the basket with both hands and how he's a freight train and could be a "20/20 threat every night".

We got a good one in Asik.
