He just got released by the Eagles. We have been lacking a pass rush maybe he can provide some sacks for us??

I would love if they brought him into our rotation, not sure the Texans would do it or if even Jason would do it.
How did things end when he was here? Maybe Wade can appeal to him?

Usually, I stick my nose up to these threads that suggest us immediately going after every player every team releases. But this one actually makes sense, given our injuries at linebacker.
On the surface, he would fit in quite nicely with our OLB rotation.

Yes. So we're pretty much at the bottom of the list.

It would make sense but I'm certain someone like NE or someone else will get him before the Texans.

Yes, Texans drafted Babin to play him at OLB in Dom Caper's 3-4. He had a couple of 5 sack seasons with the texans, but that's about it.

There's no way the Texans would claim him on waivers. He's owed too much money.

Besides when he was drafted by the Texans? He didn't have anywhere near the success as an OLB in the 3-4 (13 sacks in 3 years) as he did when he got to Tennessee under Jim Washburn using that Wide 9 technique. I don't see why we can't have him line up even wider in that sprinter's stance and go after the QB. Hell, he owes us a few sacks, right?!?

Too much money. If he didn't make as much I'm sure they would think about it. Texans are hurt on D though.

That is --- if a team wants to pay his remaining salary. If not, once he clears waivers - he is able to sign with any team.

i don't think anybody will claim, too much money.
i just heard him on nfl live, said he wants to win and likes to sack qb's. when pressed to name a team he laughed and said didn't want to close any doors.
so a winning team and a chance to get sacks? i think we'll be on his shortlist once he clears.

How does a team cut it's team leader in sacks (playing in only about 60% of its defensive snaps) 11 games into the season?
Glad to be a Texans fan

in his interview i mentioned earlier he said Andy Reid told him they were going with a youth movement and wanted to give the younger players rep.
Vinny Curry played well and they want to look at him and let's not forget Babin is 32 y/o. All that plus Eagles are going nowhere this year and you see why he was released.
