Battier is always 100% class. This was about 15 minutes ago, in the locker room before tonight's game. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/j-j7MjvmtnY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This guy literally bled rockets red while he was here there better not be one boo bird in the house (unless he hits a dagger three in the corner or sumthin)
....why does it have to be the asian guy that asks about jeremy lin. damn us chinese people! there are others on the team we are curious about!
I have to disagree, you need a guy like battier to win a chip. Besides the guy played his heart out for our team, guys like him chuck hayes, ron ron and scola should always get respect for their time here.
It's true that we were severely lacking production from the SF position when our stars went out but Shane was never supposed to be that guy. I wasn't a big fan but I didn't hate him for that. (I hated his "professionalism" making the younger guys just take losing like it was part of the game.) But, seriously, I think he could've referred to a lot of things with the "dark days" comment. I believe he never really didn't get along with T-Mac. When Ron was traded here, he made the comment about it being night and day with another defender when T-Mac would just point to a guy on the opposite side of the court. Patpat's the only guy left in the team to have actually played with Shane.
Shane is consummate professional, a hard worker, I hope he mentors the rookies one day and retires a Rocket.
I'd love for Battier to be a rocket again. He'd be huge in mentoring all our young guys. Too bad the chances of him leaving Miami are so slim.
