Russell Westbrook effect. He's been barking, sulking, or acting petulant since entering, rhe NBA. It's just rubbing off on everyone else.
Wasn't it a spat between Westbrook and Thabo that sparked a series of Westbrook trade rumors the next week? Those two have never seemed to like each other. It is interesting that, reportedly, Harden was an important locker room presence for OKC even though he had been relegated to a sixth man role. The Rockets took their locker room leader. Ouch.
They'll be talking about Harden all year in OKC. More bullet points from his "notebook": This guy is a terrible writer, btw.
I wonder what selfolasha said to Westbrook lol probably something along the line of stop taking and bricking contested jumpers you dumbass
Didn't stop the bulls from winning 6 championships in the 90s. Or Lakers winning with kobe Shaq. I doubt any of their role players will ever voice an opinion over Kd. They'll be fine.
He might not have wanted to leave, but he chose to leave for the money. And if you are going to say, "Harden was traded." You need to follow it up with "Presti is a liar." Because Harden was told if he didn't accept their final offer he would be traded to Houston. Harden chose to be traded to Houston.
Actually, according to some reports, Harden and his agent didn't mind taking less than the maximum, as long as OKC included a trade kicker. In other words, Harden wanted to be compensated if OKC ever traded him, seems pretty fair if we are talking about loyalty. OKC didn't offer that trade kicker, and Harden turned down the offer. It's unfair and inaccurate to say Harden left for the money when in truth he would have stayed for less if OKC showed more loyalty towards him.
Didn't want to start something regarding whether he left for the money or not, just thought maybe he did secretly want to leave because of issues in the locker room.
Trade Kicker = more money. True or false? Harden chose to leave. True or false? I am not upset that Harden left for more money. I think Presti being upfront with him was a mistake in negotiations. But I am not going to live in fantasy land and say he wanted to stay in OKC. If he did, he needs to fire his agent.
False and False. http://basketball.about.com/od/collegebasketballglossary/g/Trade-Kicker.htm If OKC doesn't trade Harden, his salary doesn't go up. Thus, he doesn't get more money. He didn't ask for more money, he was willing to accept less than the max if OKC included a trade kicker. Second, he didn't choose to leave. He CAN'T choose to leave when he is a RFA. OKC mishandled the situation and didn't want to give him that trade kicker.
Increased salary does not equal more money. Choosing to be traded where he expects a maximum 5 year deal over accepting a deal means choosing to stay in OKC. Sure, buddy.
He wasnt told "take this offer or we will trade you to Houston". They said if he does not take the final offer that they will simply, "trade him" It just happened to be to Houston.
Why are you being so stubborn? A trade kicker means a player ONLY gets more money if he gets traded, it's a way of protecting himself if OKC ever decides to screw him over. Stop trying to spin this into anything else.
You are probably right on that. I have no idea where I read the 'to Houston' portion. It might have been a random comment on a forum/article. Wait, I think it was Bill Simmons - same place I first heard about the tradekicker? I am not about to relisten to that podcast, so just going to say ignore that portion.
