Watching it on Telemundo, I'm surprised it's not a full house for the Mexico game. Should be a sellout right now. Are there problems with traffic and parking? Might be a reason for that.

Absolutely clutch header by Johnson. Salvaged what had been a lackluster effort by the U.S

The tickets are way overpriced, it's something like $80 for the cheapest seats. Combine that with a meaningless game and short notice and you end up with poor attendance.

Canada has continued to play well, as they are pouring it on Cuba 3-0. When you consider how much they have struggled to score so far in their qualifiers, three runs counts as an outburst.

The leadup to this game was kinda weird. First, Canada couldn't find a roster for Cuba. There just wasn't one available. Andre Hainault told the guys on MLS Extra Time Radio that they had to watch film and scout players by position number rather than name.

Then, Cuba goes to suit up for tonight's game and only 11 of the 16 players they traveled with show up. It appears they have had some defections, but I guess that's pretty much par for the course when any Cuban international team competes in another country.

EDIT: LOL @ Chicharito not only missing some point-blank shots, but... the penalty kick. Son, you disappoint.

Not necessarily "meaningless", but... a cheap opponent.

Anyway, congrats on the U.S. win. 2-1, barely? Come on, dudes. Better not lose the last game! That's a tight group.

Chicharito sucks! He's didn't capitalize on the ton of opportunities he had early on. I'm ready for him to be a bench player..

I didn't get a chance to see any of the game today, but based on the picture on the MLSSoccer.com homepage of some of the US players celebrating a goal, it looks like the A&G goalkeeper was wearing booty shorts. Was he in fact wearing booty shorts or is this just a case of a bad picture?

mexico played really bad, they looked very dominant, but they couldnt score until the 78th minute?? chicharito missed a lot of nice goals, he should have ended with 3 or 4 goals, and then mexico should have ended with 10 or 11 goals. it looked like a practice, and they missed a lot.
most of the goals, were because guyana made some awful mistakes.
against a better team, you cant waste the opportunities you get.

Their keeper had on pretty normal shorts, but some of their field players were rocking the short shorts.

I didn't get to see the game against A&B. Saw the result and that was all I needed. These games should not be close. I understand the injuries. But our "E" should handle them easily. I'm tired of hearing the crap excuse. "Well, CONCACAF is getting stronger." So f***ing what. If Antigua and Barbuda is getting stronger, should't the US be, too?

They'd better come out and punch Guatemala in the mouth early. Don't let them get confidence. Score early and it will open up. Guatemala needs 3 points. If they get down, they won't be able to sit back in the box as they've done before.

In other words, Klinsmann and the US players, play with some balls for once.

Pretty sure a tie sends both us and Guatemala through. I fully expect a very lackluster game where both teams refuse to do much attacking.

I'm thinking MEXICO should "help" El Salvador qualify.
Too bad they lost against Costa Rica.

Halftime at San Pedro Sula has Honduras up 4, Canada nil!

8-1 89'

Honduras atop their group with a FLURRY of goles. All goals were well thought out, too. ¡Felicidades, Catrachos!
