I got a fake virus warning on page 495 of the picture thread. When I Xed out, it redirected me to http://reliabilitysupervisioncustodi...84cb2/pr2/239/. My Symantec immediately popped up a warning about the warning.

Sounds like a Google Ad redirect. If so, it's not specifically related to the Picture thread, but rather some nefarious ad that happened to come up at the moment. They usually get discovered by Google and get deleted from their ads.

This has happened to me twice more, including just a minute ago. Almost makes me think it's a virus on the computer, but it's a work machine and they have it locked down pretty tight. Is no one else getting this?

Next time it happens, can you try to note what Ads are being displayed. There are four on each thread page: Top ad, the one after the first post, and two at the bottom of the page.

Since it executes a redirect at the same time it pops up the warning, I won't be able to see what ads are there. I could use the back button, but won't it load different ads?

i still got the same warning.. i think it's about the images/files from a site that has a malware and it was embedded into the clutchfans page..

when you visit thebestdamnsportssiteever(dot)com it gave u the same warning, right?..

PS. i don't use norton

Someone posted a harmless Kobe photo from that site in a post on page 3 of that thread. Google didn't like the url because they must have had some unknown problem at some point. No harm to anyone on CF, but I removed the link to the photo to avoid the alert for some of you.
