I suppose to fully insured, i.e. my plan cover 100% of the costs with zero deductibles, but the hospital continues to send me that ridiculous medical bills(close to $40K). Don't know what's going on. My insurance company states clearly that I should pay zero $$. It should be just between those two parties, but why did the hospital even get me involved in the billing issues. One thing is for sure that the hospital sent a bloated bill and then the insurance company wants to cut back......

Headaches...eh...headaches.

You're saying you have no idea what your health insurance, more specifically you think have mega coverage with no deductible for anything. You received a bill from the hospital (that I'm sure you don't understand) and instead of figuring out why or double checking what your coverage actually is.... you blame Obama. You are an idiot of the highest caliber.

As a self employed person who carries a major medical plan, mine went down this year and I got a rebate check from my private insurance company thanks to "Obamacare".

Extreme right wing Americans are the only people in the world that are fighting public healthcare, it's hilarious to watch if you're not from the USA. Maybe one day you'll get it if you get in a major health situation that would cost 100k+ with the old system.

You know, with single payer you wouldn't ever see a bill for healthcare services.

You are so eager to link anything specific to politics, genius.

Some day you have a family member on board, I'm sure it's due to some political agenda

That's private enterprise, free market efficiency at work between two private sector corporations. This is what you want more of, no?

Quit being a bitch and explain your exact scenario with numbers and exact amounts you were obligated to pay. Have you told your insurance company about the bills you are getting? What did they say?

And to the mod that neg repped me for calling borntexan an idiot, then proceeded to call me a douchebag- There are posters in the D&D constantly throwing out blatant racial and anti-islamic and other slurs. If you're so concerned about the D&D looking like it's full of "douchebags" why don't you clean that up bud?

I'm not an avid supporter of the healthcare overhaul. I don't agree with requiring everybody to purchase health insurance but at the same time those people who are avidly against it are the ones who complain when somebody visits the hospital and cannot pay their $5000 medical bill. There are some things that I do like about it and anybody who says that it is totally bad is just bias toward their camp's ideology.

The funny thing is, when I started my job in 2002 I didn't have to pay any insurance. 2003 went up to $20 a pay period. 2004 $28 per pay period. 2005 $42 per pay period. I no longer work there but I know people that do and they now pay $75 per pay period. This is for individual coverage.

In my current position, for individual coverage I had to pay $32 per pay period and it went up to $40 per pay period and individual coverage is at that mark still. I started family coverage in 2009 after my daughter was born and my per pay period costs was $94 then $100 and last year it went up to $102. We'll find out this month if there are any increases but I am expecting nothing less than what has happened in the past.

Whether it is Bush or Obama, insurance and medical costs have been rising.

My health insurance won't be affected by it, certainly not the premiums. Those are determined by the State of Texas.
