I just get angry when I see this, given how the Rockets were rejected by the league when they requested a black alternate.

Nothing but a black and white color jersey for the city of New York -- no mention of "NETS," just "BROOKLYN" ... have to think it's going to be a popular seller.

Why was a black alternative rejected? What's so bad about black jerseys? Too gangster/hip hop influenced?

Stern is a racist and doesn't like the colour black, that's why he doesn't like black jerseys, 'black' culture (hiphop), streetball attitude etc.

Black isn't and has never been a part of our color scheme. It isn't necessary to have a black alternate. Black and white is Brooklyn's new color scheme, hence the...black and white jerseys. I agree with the league in denying us. We don't need a black alt. Neither does New Orleans or Denver or Detroit.

and yellow is part of our color scheme??

Raptors/Wolves/Kings have black alternates and have none of those have black on their schemes or logos

I wish they actually had these as "official" alternatives



but with red loops

I just don't like them. Maybe the simplistic design wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting some intricate designs on it, with some gold perhaps. Not just black and white. Feels like the Spurs; its their trademark. Like Purple and Yellow for the Lakers and Green and White for the Celtics.
