Its not just that the Rockets rookies have individual promise, but the team of Machado/Lamb/Jones/White/Motiejunas seems to complement each other well.

Lamb isnt a facilitator, Lamb has natural scoring skills. Though Royce White is a facilitator and definitely Machado is to compensate. White is almost like the ball handling 2 guard.
Then Jones and Motiejunas are good offensive rebounders to clean up the misses of the other guys. Motiejunas and Jones also has versatality and outside range.

Lin/Martin or Delfino/Parsons/Patterson/Asik
then
Machado/Lamb/Jones/White/Motiejunas
(yeah its like a mini "fab 5")

Thats how I'D DO IT. No room for Morris, Livingston, Douglas, Brockman. Then there's Gary Forbes & Greg Smith. There's probably gonna be some small roster transations before the season starts.

Thanks for the vids

Watching Lamb I see a combo of Jason Terry and another player. For quite sometime I've been trying to think what other player?

JT was an all-star in his day, I think. As a PG with Atl.?

Lamb is longer and more athletic, but will be playing the two.

I just see Jason Terry with length and hops.

Lamb looked a lot like jumpshooting T-Mac as far as moves and selection.

This. I definitely don't see Jason Terry at all.

Something tells me this team is going to surprise this season........ Jeremy Lamb has a great attitude, Scott Machado might be the best backup Lin has had. And White is a player who will on some nights upstage Lin with the "highlight reel" plays..........

The thing that excites me about this Rockets club is it has players that enjoy playing defense. From Asik, who might be close to Tyson Chandler in that department (but without the short fuse), to Machado and Lamb, who seem to have a knack to steal the ball, to Lin, whose defense is "maligned" only because nobody has really paid attention to it. (To see Lin's defensive capability, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRmfwKxqe4Q ... Not many players can shut down Brandon Jennings in the open court, steal the ball from Steve Nash off a screen, or block Derrick Rose from behind....)

This is a young team, but its potential is off the charts, in my humble opinion.

Lamb reminds me more of Durant than Tmac.

the rookie 5 is actually a nice, young and solid 5

they could easily challenge the "veteran" 5 on the Rockets.

interesting to see in practice

Lin-Martin(or Delfino)-Parsons-Patterson-Asik

vs.

Machado-Lamb-White-Jones-Motiejunas

I'm sure the rookies will play very competetively
