This director has made 3 very different movies now. I like his range. Hopefully wb signs him up to take over Batman.

A friend of mine who works at one of the big film companies just watched it. He said it's one of the crappiest movies he has ever seen.

Did you see it and like it? Not trying to gig you, but I saw it and can definitely see someone saying it was crappy. It's kind of crappy in a way. Super surprised it was ranked so high on RT. So many cheesy aspects to the movie.

I'm curious if those that do not like also didn't like Inception? This would probably give me a good idea if I'll like it. I know several people who didn't like Inception, but I thought it was awesome.

I haven't seen it so please don't spoil too much, but...

Can anybody explain the logic behind why the mob of the future has to send people back in time to get them whacked? It seems overly complex and probably more than a little expensive. I mean I'm sure it is nice to have the body disapear, but my impression is that time travel involves more effort than criminals typically use.

It's explained very early in the movie that it's nearly impossible to dispose of a body in the future because of tracking systems. Kill someone and you WILL eventually be caught.

Nah. I was just comparing them because, while both unique, they seem like a similar type of movie. Inception is definitely my favorite movie in the past couple of years and I had no expectations of Looper topping it.

As it turns out, I liked Looper a lot...but would not say that I loved it.

I saw it and liked it a lot.

The movie served its purpose. I was entertained.

The movie was brilliant on so many levels. We're talkin about Terrence mallick brilliance here.. The movie wasn't about time travel but the way of life violence doesn't end well...

"A" for effort. "C" for everything else.

movie really started getting crappy and slowed down to a halt once TK kid came about. also, TK was a bizarre element to force into the movie.
