That's what I'm hoping for. Did he even make on the field vs. New Orleans? 0 catches in 3 preseason games. We spent a 3rd round pick on the guy. You have to assume he's making the team if only because of that. It would be nice to see SOMETHING out of him in the preseason.

Kubiak says Lestar and Martin will start but Posey will play the majority because he needs to "catch up"...

I am going to watch the Colts/Bengals. Andrew Luck will be starting and play for at least a quarter. The line is -3 Indy, go get it, you are welcome.

Probably last chance for Keenum to do something noteworthy. He won't have a lot to work with and if the line is as porous as it was for Yates, he may be running for his life. I wish him well.

Apparently Posey will be playing the entire game so looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Here's the latest Posey rookie diary. He confirms that he'll play a lot on Thursday.
Quote:
I’m supposed to be playing a lot in our last preseason game on Thursday, so I just want to finally get out there and catch some passes, get a nice little rhythm going. I’m just looking forward to playing. I’m excited. I’m really excited.
For me, I look at it as a chance to show the coaches that you know what you’re doing and show the veterans that you know what you’re doing. Anytime you get an opportunity, you’ve got to just take advantage of it.
I‘m so ready to get my first catch, man. I’m beyond ready. I want one so bad. I have faith in the process of just learning and things happening for a reason. The way I feel now and the way I prepare – maybe it being partly because I don’t have a catch – I want to just keep working and keep working and keep working and keep working. There’s no secret to it: The more work you put in, the better you’ll be. I know that I’ve got a lot of good potential, but potential is just something that you aren’t yet, so I want to be able to be that at some point this year or whenever.
I’m feeling fine now after I strained a muscle in my leg last week. It just got tight on me. I was playing with it for a while and it just got too inflamed, so I just had to take some days, get some rest, get some of the swelling out of there and get some more blood flow pumped in there. It felt great to be back at practice on Monday. I didn’t feel like I was on the team last week. I say that jokingly; I just like to be around the guys, like to be there and be playing, like everybody else does.
It’s going to be fun to get back in front of the home crowd, to get out there and hear the Bulls on Parade nation cheering you on. I felt like it was kind of an away game two weeks ago because it was my first time being here and everything was new. It’s going to be routine playing here now, so I’m excited about it.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned in the preseason is hearing everything and making sure the small details are taken care of. In college, you can just wipe out the minor details and make a play, but here, minor details can win you or lose you a game. So I just have to make sure that I stay sharp with those through film study, studying the playbook and knowing the game plan inside and out.
We got to move out of the team hotel after training camp ended last week. Being able to be in your own place and be in your own bed, it’s amazing just to have that peace of mind to go home to. I’m getting adjusted to the city and trying to get my place together, and I like it so far. Now that you’re not living out of a bag and you’ve got a closet and your clothes are put away and your laundry is done, you feel a lot better coming in to work every day.
I appreciate all the fan support. Just keep on supporting us and supporting me, and we’ll get it done for you, and I’ll make sure I do my part, too.

A problem with making money? Preseason is actually easier to predict in many cases, but I wouldn't expect you to know that. For the record I am 11-1 so far this year. You don't have to heed my advice, but no reason to assume that I have some kind of "problem".

I hope he gets a few catches. At this point I have to think he may be a bust. I know he didn't play last year and has been a little slow to pick things up, but he should have done at least a little something by now.

I do wish the NFL would switch to only selling one (#2 or #3) preseason game to ticket holders and have the first and final preseason games take place in neutral non-NFL cities like San Antonio, Toronto*, Mexico City, Columbus, etc.
Unfortunately, the owners LOVE that they can shove two preseason games down the season ticket holders' throats. They make more money that way, so it's not changing.

Way too early for that. Most expected him to be a non-contributor this year, especially with Martin and Jean being so likely to step in right away and Johnson and Walter entrenched as starters.
It's my assumption that a year from now, Walter will be gone and Posey will be jockeying with Jean for the #2 spot. You have to keep in mind that Kubiak is not a coach that just sends his wideouts deep on fly routes and posts. He expects them to be sharp blockers in his run game, something that takes time for them to learn.
Am I especially high on Posey? No. But we didn't draft him to be a big play creater.

I don't think they expected him to be that guy this year, but I do think that they expect him to become a pretty big weapon long term since they did spend a 3rd on him after all, which many considered to be kind of high for him

Anybody else have dish? It's only on the guide from 6:00-7:00?!? Please tell me they aren't goint to switch to the convention... Does anyone know if this is just a snafu on the guide... or is the feed switching to an auxiliary channel? I'll be uber pissed if I can't watch dudes that won't make the team slug it out in an ugly penalty filled contest for 3 1/2 to 4 hours!

Can't find the game on DirecTV in Austin. Local news....
Maybe the Texans should take KVUE off the affiliates list.
