Lil' Gasol will walk on, not expected to make an impact soon though...

Although the youngest Gasol is 6-foot-10 and has impressive bloodlines, it would be a surprise if he is able to make much impact at UCLA in the near future.
He wasn't interested in following in his brothers' footsteps in basketball growing up and played sparingly as a freshman and sophomore at Lausanne High School in Memphis before returning to Spain the past two years. It has been difficult to track his progress in Spain, but all indications are he's well behind his brothers at the same stage.
His parents are 6'3 and 6'1, for anyone wondering..

He's 9 years younger than Marc & 14 years younger than Pau, so he probably didn't have much input from his brothers. Now he wants to give bb a shot. He'll be a project & will have to be taught a lot to catch up with kids his age. He does, however, have what can't be taught... height. We'll just have to see if his heart is into it.

Is UCLA easy to get into overall for the regular schmo? Or at least compared to somewhere like UT?
