LOL wtf is Billy King doing in NJ? Seems like he's so desperate he doesn't care what happens anymore. Honestly they wouldn't have to do this if they didn't trade their pick for Gerald frickin' Wallace. Lopez and the 6th pick would have worked out as a decent package for Howard.

I dont think Billie King is this bad of a GM

Its probably that russian guy giving orders, and so desperate for a move to be done. But he does not know how the NBA works

no gm is stupid enough to trade a top 5 lottery pick for Gerald Wallace. The russian guy obviously was scared of Deron leaving( and forced Billie Kings hand)

From my understanding Johnson isn't a Net just yet. It is a "handshake agreement" that depends entirely on Williams commitment to the Nets

Aren't giving Billy King too much cred? IIRC there were reports saying Russian Mark Cuban got bored with the whole "waiting till something happens" process and turned over all matters to Billy King while he goes off counting his money or something.

We're not talking about your average owner here. RMC is one of the wealthiest owners in the league and just bought the team because he was bored, and he won't be so desperate he'll make stupid moves just to retain D-Will when he's going to NY market in a few months. More likely King is the one panicking to keep his job, and is all set to make short-term moves in order to avoid getting axed.

Joe Johnson definitely can help nets to have better performance next season. now Deron also stay in Brooklyn. Good news for nets!
