Me and a friend did an all-time NBA draft where you could pick any person who has ever played in the league. We are having a hard time deciding which team is better, if possible. Of course we are assuming the players are at their prime.

My team:

Magic Johnson
Oscar Robertson
Larry Bird
Hakeem Olajuwon
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Shaq
Kevin Garnett
Scottie Pippen
Jerry West
Jason Kidd
Brian Scalabrine

His team:
Isaiah Thomas
Michael Jordan
Lebron James
Tim Duncan
Wilt Chamberlain

Bill Russell
Charles Barkley
Kevin Durant
Kobe Bryant
Gary Payton
DJ Mbenga

Which team do yall think would win a best of 7 game series?

Bird > Lebron
Hakeem = Duncan
Chamberlain < Abdul-Jabbar

However I would give slight edge to his bench. His team in 7.

You flipped Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar. kareem was on my team with magic, Hakeem, etc.

Then it's your team. Wilt is liability on free throw line, also his team have no reliable three point shooter other than Durant.

Honestly, we say Bird is better than Lebron but I don't think Bird would have been able to guard him. I think Lebron is too big and strong for Bird.


I think same applies for the other team where I don't think any of the starting bigs can guard Hakeem

true, and i don't think russell could guard shaq either. It has so many matchups.
