The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other leftwing newspapers and publications. For example, Vpered (Russian language for 'Forward') was the name of the publication that Lenin started after having resigned from the Iskra editorial board in 1905 after a clash with Georgi Plekhanov and the Mensheviks.

I see nothing in any definition of the noun, adverb, adjective, or verb form of the word forward that has overtones of socialism or communism. Not to mention it has been part of the English language since before 900.
This reminds me of the time my crazy Aggie aunt told me the Hook 'em sign was really the sign of the devil. You know, because of the horns.
This is what happened when you try to explain socialism to lefties, they know that you are on to them but they just have to keep pretending.
How has anyone tried to explain socialism? Y'all have been asked to give examples of socialist policies only to respond with deafening silence. There is a group of people in this country that truly doesn't understand what the term "socialist" means, but it isn't the "lefties."
