    I assume it was just trained to paint that particular shape. I wonder if it can draw other other shapes on command, and also how long it takes to train an elephant to do such a thing.

    impressive. to the point of cute. i am really shocked i haven't had this forwarded to me by my mom or weird uncles yet.

    I thought this was fake, but it looks real...I really don't understand how it is possible.

    I have seen elephants "paint" in Thailand, but the paintings certainly looked a lot more "abstract" than that...

    The understanding of basic perspective with the legs is amazing -- it's certainly up to par with ancient cave art. Though obviously the elephant isn't making the paints, brushes, etc. and it's receiving assistance with the handler dipping the brush and choosing the colors. This doesn't take away from the fact that there are many adult humans who would struggle to draw something as well.
