So is it true that only non-Muslim Iranians celebrate Norouz? I do not think it is true because I know religious Iranians who live in the U.S. and still celebrate the Persian new year. mabrook!
I know some Iranians that put the Qur'an on their sofre. Some of the more nationalistically-minded and "grass-roots" Iranians will say that the two are mutually exclusive... but it's not a big deal in my opinion.
Is there any relation as to why most Iranian people I know have their first names starting with the letter "S" and the Haft Sin table. I read that the Haft Sin table you have pictured has to have 7 items on there starting with the letter "S". Is there any correlation or is there is some other reason for this occurrence?
We are having a big party with friends and family at my house tonight, but tomorow we are going to Discovery Green Park for the event they have there.
Give the man a break. He was a big Zager & Evans fan. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WhNM2K8cmU8&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WhNM2K8cmU8&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
