If they dont make the playoffs will it be a blessing in disguise because like that we can get a lottery pick and even if we make it to the playoffs its not like we are competing for a title and we probably won't pass the second round so why not get a draft pick that will benefit us in the future
Someone should make a thread relating to The Rockets Official wtf do we do if we do/don't make the playoffs.
The highest lottery pick or invaluable playoff experience....hmmmmmm tough choice. We would be dealing with picks 14-17 anyways so might as well hope to make the playoffs, GET RED, and watch the Rockets for a week and a half more than expected!
yea i want the rockets to make the playoffs i think thats what every fan should want but i was looking at it from another view if lets say they dont make the playoffs it wouldn't be as bad as everybody thought but i think if they do make the playoffs and lets say they get the 19-25 pick ..with morey as our GM i think he can still get a really good player
Looking at Spurs' schedule, I think if Rox is going to the playoff, Spurs is the only one has the chance to be that victim. The Blazers actually have easy schedule left but Spurs' schedule remain brutal.
Did not want to start a new thread so i figured I would bump this one. If the Portland losses tonight we will only be 3 games back in the loss column from the 8th seed. Every one should be pulling for the suns to pull this game out. Also the spurs play the hawks tonight so also there is a chance to gain some ground there as well.
the odds are slim put I still have hope since we are only 3 games back with 14 more to go. It is going to come down to who wants it more.
I'm not going to say no. At any rate, there is zero point in tanking for a better pick as of now - even if we start to play not as well and fall out of playoff contention, so what? Our pick really isn't going to change that much anyways, as the only teams worse than us that we could reasonably fall behind are the Grizzlies - Hornets have 38 losses, Bulls have 37, and those are the closest besides Memphis, and I doubt we would fall behind them at this point. Aside from the fact that I'm way too proud of our team to ever admit we might be worse than the Grizzlies, there's really not a huge difference between picks 15 and 16, so we might as well charge ahead and see how far we can go.
