Yeah well when they leave the leather ball outside in the rain sometime then you will understand why you buy a kid an inexpensive composite ball.
probably when he has a kid they will get gold inlined basketballs for christmas p.s. he doesn't have a kid that we know of yet does he?
he said "It feels like a basketball you buy for your kids at Christmas, or something." He's saying that WE'RE cheap. Whatever LeBlowJob... not everyone is an athletic freak like you ok, don't hate.
Hmm? The leather balls that they use in college (and used to in the NBA) aren't what you're going to find in Sports authority. The ones they're using now are better, but similar to the composite balls that you buy in stores (not "cheap"). They do wear down faster than leather, they are tackier than leather, and they do get slick when wet much quicker. If you haven't played with a genuine college or pro ball before, you may not realize that there is a big difference. Evan
He was obviously talking about the cheap basketballs that most parents buy their kids. Lebron is not allowed to joke I guess. Let's stone him to death!
""I don't think I ever will," he replied when asked if he'll ever become accustomed to it. "It's not a good basketball, in my opinion. You've been so used to playing with a leather ball for the last three years. It feels like a basketball you buy for your kids at Christmas, or something." i hope you are being sarcastic otherwise what you said here is just dumb. king james was talking about what people generally would buy for their kids at xmas.
LOL. So many sarcasm detectors broken. Anyways, I'd love to see Stern make them wear shorter shorts and smaller jerseys. Back to the "golden age" baby.
on a sidenote, 790 had the marketing vp who is responsible for selling the balls to the nba from whatever company that supplies the balls. some interesting info. he said they did some bounce test on the old balls vs. the new balls where they drop the balls froms 6 ft in the air and they have to bounce to a certain height. he said that every team gets 75 balls at the beginning of the year for practice and games.
God, I can't stand you guys with your rationale and sh*t. When are you all ever just going to come to terms with the fact that LeBron is a sorry, cheap b*stard? sigh...
i feel the same way... at least he does something for those kids. he could no thing at all. are you buying kids basketballs?
