You say that the T-Mac Miracle is proof as to why T-Mac should not be traded for Bibby and Artest. Because Bibby + Artest is comparable in worth to even 2004-05 McGrady, which is what the Rockets will get from here at best, you must clearly be saying that T-Mac is better than them based on 35 seconds of one game. I assert that this is wrong. You can't evaluate a player based on one highlight.
Come on...I couldn't have been the only one that cried after watching that. I was there too. These stupid dumb fudge, hick ass, hanging their baby outta car windows, astersik winning Sper fans were sitting behind me. The whole game they were harassing me. Safe to say that I made them wish they never came outta their mother's womb after the game ended. Their were four of them and I was just with my brother. All four were pretty huge and I could tell they wanted to kick my ass so bad!!! But it was H-town and the whole place was going freakin nutz!!!! A healthy Tmac might be the single best scorer in the NBA and a top three player. A broken Tmac is not going to get us anything in a trade. So wtf is the point of trading him?
I dont recall editing it like that. But the source is mine. I was there till the end...it was the most awesome sports moment I have ever experienced.
first off, be realistic..that trade would never go down. second, i never said that those 35 seconds alone would make him better than those two players. where did i even mention that? i was merely trying to show you that the original poster's intentions was to remind us of t-mac's ability. you are looking into what i said wayy too much.
Put a smile on my face and gave me chills watching that. What an amazing player...... Hope his back can hold up for another 6-10 years.
That's why I love basketball more than any other team sport out there, because one player could catch fire and make a difference, one player could be the hero, one player could put his team over the top in a close-game situation. This is why I always say having a guy like McGrady healthy and playing, ANY close game is a game I think we have a very good shot at winning. T-Mac has the unique ability to make crazy, off-balance shots from waaaaaay beyond the arc and make them with a higher consistency than most or all NBA players. His body twists and turns and he makes improbable shots, he has more range than any player in the NBA, the guy is just simply a baller, unique unto his own. No one doubts his abilities or out-of-this-world skill-set, I think we're all as fans are just worried that his best days are behind him due to physical ailments. If he's healthy, the Rox are in good shape. He's our closer, I think last season more than proved his worth as far as how many very close games we dropped, poor Yao would work his butt off to keep it close, but we got beat in countless games in the final seconds because we didn't have him in there to take command and deliver.
We all know Yao will recover in 2 months, so a healthy TMac will assure the Rockets back in playoff. But the roster change during the summer determines how far they can go.
wow after watching that video yesterday, i had a dream last night of watching t-mac destroy the league.
I was also at the game and was real close to leaving before it was over although I usually never do that. I was actually standing up about to walk out of the row to leave but then i told my acquaintance let's just wait and see what happens. It was the most amazing (positive) thing I've ever been a part of. I still get chills watching the vid of it. Good times, good times..
^^^ I feel sorry for whoever did leave the game early. Did anybody on this board get to go and actually exit early?
did I actually say that.. I think u misunderstood.. there are 10000000s of reasons for why we shouldn't trade T-mac.. his game is much better than what the 35 in 13 demonstrated... but well, I know people in the "t-mac for bibby&Artest" has an extremely low IQ, so I thought this will probably make it easier for them to understand.... AND ONE MORE THING, I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR VIEW OF TMAC IS, BUT I AM SMELLING A T-MAC HATER...
I love Tmac too and I really appreciate how you are trying to defend him with a passion. I hope you will one day love all the other Rockets players as well though.
