Chinanews, Dec. 9 – What will be a 2.05-meter-tall, 13-year-old boy look like? To make a simple comparison, when Yao Ming was at the same age, he was only 1.97 meter tall.

By the end of this month, 13-year-old Tian Yuchen will turn 14. He has a good height, as acknowledged by experts. The boy, now receiving training in Shanghai, is a secret weapon for the team.

As a formal registered player in Shanghai basketball team, Tian might turn out to be another maniac like Yao Ming. Same as Yao, he was born in a basketball family and showed an excellent physical flexibility and personal skill, much better than people of his age. In the team, he receives special training to play as guard.

While a lot of basketball experts pay attention to him, businessmen cannot ignore him as well. Recently, the Lining Sports Company, which has spent much effort in nurturing China’s basketball market, has signed an agreement with Tian. In August, the company sent him to attend the senior high school basketball training camp in Oregon, U.S. He became the first Chinese player to participate in such an event.
