    Very good win. Surprising win.

We got stomped rebounding again (51-34), but shot the 3PT well (45.7%) and took care of the ball (11 turnovers).

    More space.

Harden mans a top flight offense like Warriors good when he has shooters all over the court and nobody in the paint.

He can literally get into the paint at will, him and lebron are prob the only two players that seem to be able to do this time and time again doing the same thing.

It sucks because when you looks at it you can see why durant should atleast give long thought as to coming here.

He's prob the best fit for harden ball domiant offense he can hit the 3 at an elite rate and attack the basket with the best of them. On top of that he's a good rebounder and dosnt like to start the offense.

Obviously going to GS is his easiest path to a title but I really think him and harden could challenge those boys in Oakland.

There games are made for each other for a system standpoint. Also it wouldn't change Durants status or legacy in the league.

2 rings in Houston is better than 2-3 rings in GS. Here he would be coming to something that is his there it would never be his and also joining a 2x mvp and 2x champs is lame KD don't do it.

Don't be fooled... Rockets are not better without Dwight. But they can manage without him.

Last season Rockets played .658 basketball (27-14) without Dwight. Very good, but not better than the .732 (30-11) with.

This season we're 7-7 in games Dwight misses or doesn't finish.

Also, keep in mind Dwight isn't always 100 in the games he does play.

Can we manage without Dwight? Yes
Are we better without Dwight? No

The question is what do you get for Dwight? If someone replaces him that has better chemistry with Harden the team can be better without Dwight. Also most of those game early last season we also didn't have Josh Smith and Brewer who actually well last season.

We are better with Dwight. Did you see the rebounds totals for each team? Our defense continues to cause major concern.

Someone needs to increase TJones' vocabulary
and teach him what 'pass' and 'assist' mean.

Once he gets the ball, he's drawn to the basket like a moth to a porchlight.
It doesn't seem to matter who else is wide open or if there are 3 defenders between
him and the basket. He's going to put up a shot!

Unfortunately it rarely works out well

Or it was just a boring game (positive). Harden had a good game. The 3pt shooting is still an eyesore

This. I'm pretty sure Cheke-whats-his-name didn't even bother visiting the site because he looked at the box score and the Rox were winning and Harden had a great game. Oh well he and his dementor-like ilk will be back soon enough to sow negativity and complain to anybody who would listen.

Next loss will see the game thread reach 50 pages easily thanks to those fools.

People staying Thornton is a stop gap and all that, watch the games. Even today, Thornton when he received the ball was looking to pass and at one point picked up his dribble. Nobody moved!!! It took about 2-3 seconds for someone came to get the ball. Tell me, what should a player do when others just stand around and watch you??

Without Dwight and Whiteside this game looked like a high school or college game. We are better with Dwight. for sure. I liked what McHale was starting to do where he starts Dwight, then takes him out after 4-6 minutes to open the paint for harden to operate until the second quarter, then rest harden and let Dwight start the second quarter.

I'm glad we got the win, hopefully we can pick up some steam.

High school or college game? lol

Miami Heat is the 3rd seed in Eastern Conference.

What it would be like for Rockets played with Nets or Nuggets?

Agreed. Jones is horrible. How he continues to rake up minutes that should be given to Harrell are beyond me.

First of all, great win! Great gutty effort. The team played with a sense of urgency and they need to show that more consistently!

Love what Marcus Thornton brings to the table. Especially when Harden is resting. Rockets needs that instant offense to keep a lead while Harden is on the bench.

Thornton knows his role. He is a scorer. But I never feel he is playing outside of the offense or jacking bad shots. The only time he might be extra aggressive is when he feels like he is hot in a heatcheck. But really, he does a good job of flowing off picks and passing the ball. He is a team player and plays hard. LOVE his quick release! You just feel he can get that shot off in any amount of time, and over anyone.

I hope Thornton is on this team through the trade deadline and hope he gets more consistent minutes.

Yes Thorton does heatcheck but that's what shooters do. Otherwise you are just a Harrison Barnes who only shoots open 3s, although at a 40% FG. I take 36% Thorton over 40% Barnes when it comes to shooting.

Thorton poses a threat, keeps his defenders in check, and they have to respect his quick release. Barnes, not so much.
