For those who don't know, my computer went down a couple weeks ago.
R2K told me to take it to his house to fix it.
Went over on Saturday and he fixed it in a couple of hours for pennies.
FYI, if y'all need a computer to be fixed, he's your guy.
Thanks dude!

Do Rockets2K a huge favor, then, and buy him this T-shirt:
(I, too, am blessed/cursed with the ability to fix computers and have my hands full with the computers of many friends, neighbors, and family members).

I keep saying I'm going to order one of these shirts and start wearing it to family gatherings. Every single holiday one of my relatives shows up with their compy, asking me to take a look at it.

I had this program that would install itself on my computer every 20 minutes. I finally got fed up and deleted everything, including my initiation boot, so my computer wouldn't even start up.
He fixed it and it's better than it was originally.

I have taken to telling people that I am a [random profession] when I meet them so that they won't regale me with horror stories of how broken their computer is.
My favorites:
Tree Surgeon
KFC Batter Inspector
Personnel Manager at Heartbreakers

Rockets2K is an old smelly hippie with a surly disposition and an affinity for profane dialogue.
I love him.

Both of my machines just went down and Im about to go nuts without 24 hour web access.
I was working on my laptop and running a lot of stuff and all of a sudden my screen did the matrix. I tried to reboot, but now nothing shows on the LCD screen
I try to power it on my desktop and nothing happens, yet the mouse infared still glows, so not all power is lost. I moved it around and got it to start up once.......ONCE!!!
Now it doesnt power up.
Any ideas?
Im about to take them to Frys to get repairs this week.
Help me please!
Thanks!

My home computer died sometime yesterday morning. Windows starts to boot up and then quits. I still have my work computer and my laptop (technically owned by my employer), but I hope I can at least get my files back... a lot of my teaching materials were on that hard drive. (Don't worry, I won't bother Rockets2K... I don't live close by. )
