Seems that JVG and Steve are at a stalemate. Neither of them likes each other and both knows that none of them are leaving anytime soon. Les won't trade him even though JVG would love to do just that. I had heard that prior to last nights game, the two got into a heated yelling match. I'm not saying Francis was tanking his shots just to piss of JVG but it really isn't like him to come up short on his shots all night. Also, I heard Yao has been getting degraded and yelled at by JVG on a daily basis. I don't think Yao takes negative reinforcement too well. It's no secret that JVG is an old school "Yeller" but I think its starting to have negative effects on our Franchise players.

Tough spot to be in if you are JVG or Steve/Yao.

By the way, looks like Charlie Ward will be a Rocket when the Suns do in fact waive him.

Is this from your inside source? I imagined VG and Stevie were buddies now, kickin it every night watching game tapes. BTW, when is the earliest we could officially sign Ward?

My job is easy! :D

Yes one of my sources told me today. Team just left Houston for Detroit minutes ago and should be in New York right after the game wednesday night.

FWIW,

RRN was the first to break the news re: the Moochie trade. His source supposedly two wayed him.

And no that's not a sexual thing.

What you heard may not be that far off though. Last night when Francis had an easy 2 on 1 fast break, Francis throws a ridiculously high alleyoop over Mobley's head and the camera panned over to JVG on the bench who was grinning and laughing with with his hands over his face. Kind of like he was saying is this guy(francis)really that stupid.

Then there was that article this morning in the chron where Robertson mentions that JVG had a heart to heart with Yao after the game.

so even though you are the president of the JVG and you may have some personal reasons for disliking the guy, what you say may have some truth in it.

I think the Moochie trade might have put a hamper on their relationship.

RRN,

Your source needs to record some of these conversations.

Did anyone hear that clip they played this morning on KKRW with JJ and Cat talking about Wilt's 20K conquests? Cat was like '$%^#%, that's like 20 women a night'. Then he starts talking to some guy from KKRW about how he has 4 women waiting for him outside. Only to realize there are tons of reporters around.

How about never? Is that good for you? :D

PHX has until the 10th to waive him or they have to pay him the full amount for the season. If it hasn't happened by the 10th, it's not happening.

I would hope he wouldn't make anything up; we can track him down through his web site, we can give him grief.

Unless he admits to making this stuff up....?

I can believe Steve would want to bolt JVG's tutelage, though. He's played like crap and I could list many half-hearted comments the two have made regarding each other through the season (mostly from newspaper articles, of course). Many people see 12 assists. I see 7 turnovers to go with them and shrug.

I'd take a player more worth that max contract----Marion; Brand----but I won't get it, so...

Now about Yao, I wonder. He thought Rudy was too lax. But he hasn't responded well to the new coach, either. Apparently JVG let Yao have it after last night's game.

On one hand Yao needs it. He's soft, he commits really, really stupid fouls (usually in succession: one foul, then another within a minute: ever notice?)

On the other hand we don't want JVG to push it too far. We don't want Yao to feel even more (forgive the term) alienated. Yao, for all his up-and-down games, still forced the Warriors all night to change many of their shots. You always have to know where he is on the floor.

thx Rocket Rich. Yao and Francis are our franchise. I hope JVG can find a way to get through to them and help them overachieve like most of the team is doing. If being a MFMF (motherf..., etc.) isn't working, I hope he has sense enough to try another way.

Maybe this gives little more validity to cwebbster and his inside info about hearing CD was contemplating a trade with Utah that involves Steve Francis and Kirelienko and Lopez.

Personally, I hope Les is not too attached to a franchise player who is shooting 39% and turning the ball over as many times as he assists.
