I have been reading a lot of post about Rockets, Yao Ming, Steve Francis, etc. That have been just rediculous. A lot of Haters, A lot of overboard fans and a lot of non-sense is there some where I can find serious conversations without the exagerration.

I think this MB is fine. It does not depend on the MB but the people who post on it wheater you will get a serious discussion or not.
Also, it depends on yourself. If you want a serious discussion, you need to be firm and always conduct serious discussion yourself. People will respect and talk seriously to you.
Also,it may be helpful to ignore the post that is overexagerated, (like my post in several occasions. ) and continue with the discussion.

This is good advice on any bulletin board. Don't respond to the idiots that are baiting you by posting stupid things just to mess with people, they are just looking for attention and aren't worth any effort to respond to.
