Was he under coached here?

I think that rather than tailoring a defense to the player, that babin was in the wrong situation in houston. The titans way of playing defensive suited babins approach to the game, and he became a beast.
The eagles hired the titans defensive line coach Jim Washburn brought him to the eagles.

I'm guessing he's juicing. You don't suddenly go from a nobody to a beast at age 30

Yes. He had two subpar years and then Kubiak came in. Kubiak wanted to run a 4-3 and quickly discarded him.

Although the extent of how good he can be is truly surprising, I think its no reach saying the defensive coaching during Babin's stay with the Texans was dog****.

I hate this. Now Charlie probably feels vindicated that he traded our entire draft for this douchebag.

He couldn't cut it as an outside linebacker, because he's pretty much only good, but damn good, at rushing the qb. Washburn's spread out line favors this. and having one of the best DE's on the other side with a great DT in Jenkins is a big plus also.
It was bad coaching to play him as an OLB, but look at Fangio now and the way he's using Aldon Smith.

It isn't like he found success in Philly the first time, or KC, or Seattle. Something changed in Nashville, and now in the wide 9, which I think greatly helps a pass rushing DE, and opposite Trent Cole, he is unstoppable.

He did lead the Texans in sacks his last year in Houston, as a part time player. Though on that team its like being the best song on Rebecca Black's album.
Recent article on Babin
Quote:
How Eagles' Babin became a pass-rushing force
http://articles.philly.com/2011-12-1...t-cole-sacks/4
What is the secret behind Jason Babin's midcareer resurrection?
Is it that the former first-round draft pick was finally released from the shackles of playing out of position, or where he wasn't wanted, or low on the depth chart?
Or is it that Babin found his guru in Jim Washburn, the brutally honest defensive line coach who ran a scheme perfectly suited to his skill set?
Or could it be his one-track obsession with sacks, which some believe he pursues at the sacrifice of stopping the run?
Or maybe it's just a combination of the above, mixed with something Washburn said that Babin possesses more than any other pass rusher in the league: hustle.
"The reason he's a good football player is he's really quick, he's explosive, and he never stops," Washburn said last week. "Who in the league plays harder than Jason Babin?"
|
Quote:
Babin and Washburn started to be accused of caring only about sacks. Opposing offenses were targeting Babin's side of the line more than other spots and have averaged more yards - 6.5 - with the end often being caught rushing too far upfield.
When Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch gashed through a hole between Babin and linebacker Akeem Jordan and ran 40 yards for a touchdown earlier this month, the howls only grew louder. Babin took to Twitter when he said he read criticisms on Bleacher Report, a website composed of fan-written stories, and from a few other articles sent to him by his wife.

The Eagles once got rid of a HOF WR who "all he did was catch Touchdowns." Probably plenty of sour grapes after that went down.
Focus on winning that awful division... less on what Texan fans think of Jason Babin.

Because Lil Pun can help his team win if he just focuses on it? Do you not discuss anything else NFL-related because you focus on the Texans trying to win?
