Kinda makes me think part of the D-Mo trade was because Morey knew Yao was retiring. At the very least he knew he was either done, or he wouldn't be back with the Rockets due to salary he'd demand and the high risk involved. Mostly because he's a new international prospect who is being advertised as a center.

I don't think D-Mo will make it in this league without the support of the fans.

Doubt there will be that many losses. Yao Ming played 5 games the last 2 season, I'm pretty sure any one who only watches the Rockets for Yao Ming has departed during this time.

I havent. I left Houston in November of 2006 and still support the Rockets. Yao was the main reason, and even despite his injuries, I kept buying league pass because I got a chance to be fan of a great organization that hire smart people. Now I have my Hawks: The 125 million dollar man, J-Crazy, and Al "the robot" Horford, and a franchise ran by a bunch of morons.

The real fans weren't here for just Yao Ming, they were hear for the Rockets.
