We just beat the hell out of the Jazz and all I see are negative posts in these threads. One threads about Bill and Calvin and how horrible they are. One thread is a sarcastic attack on alot of posters complaints of Dream a couple months ago. Threads bashing Cato.
Blah blah blah

Don't you guys remember who we played tonight? The freaking Jazz!!! The most hated team in the NBA, and look what we did, we embarassed them.

I know the game was fairly uneventful and no one had superior stats, but cmon guys, lets look at the positives.

I guess we're just accustomed to our games being down to the wire so a blowout of the Jazz isn't that big of a deal. I know the Jazz were on their second game of a back to back, but who cares? They're still the Jazz and we beat the hell out of them.

Also a week ago we were lamenting the loss of Dream for the year. Then in an amazing turn of events he comes back to a standing ovation. I mean everyone figured they'd never see Dream again in a Rocket's uniform , and there he was on court again draining shots.

We should all feel blessed to see him play again for the Rockets this season. The fallen warrior has come back to help his team fight to the end.

Honestly I'm working on only a couple hours of sleep and I have no clue if what I'm typing makes sense, but I am just amazed at how uneventful this game felt after reading through the bbs.

Let's quit bashing each other and bashing our players. This is our team until the end of the season and we need to get behind them and BELIEVE in them coming back. We're not mathematically eliminated yet damnit! Even if they don't make the playoffs, I will still be proud of this team for fighting till the bitter end. I don't want anyone posting negative or sarcastic bs on this thread.

WE BEAT THE JAZZHOLES BY 23 POINTS!

Where are the proud Rockets fans in here?

(i just realized this was my 400th post, it was like last week i had my 300th post, damn i need a hobby)

Honestly dude, I don't hate the Jazz as much as some ppl in here do. After the reaction to this game though, it feels like we just beat up on some eastern conference scrubs.

I mean people have nicknames devoted to hating the jazz. (i'm looking in your direction Kill Dirty Stockton) Yet no one seems to care about our thorough domination of them .

Alright, go rockets. I might be part of the problem tonight. But I really haven't seen a good thread in this forum in weeks (at least one that I felt the need to contribute to). Everybody seems to be really down about the recent loses. Who blame us? It would take a near miracle for the rockets to get into the playoffs now. Better post I hope....

I think one of the problems is that this kind of win just pisses people off. If this team is capable of beating the damn Jazz by 23, then why the hell can't they beat the Clippers? That kind of thing hurts. It is annoying to see how well they are capable of playing, when they rarely play that well. Imagine if the Rockets had put this much effort into the Clipper games. This team would be battling for home court advantage.
With that said, I am thrilled with the win. It feels SO good to beat the Jazz. It just hurts knowing that it is likely too late to save the season.
I loved seeing Hakeem's standing ovation, and seeing him play so well. That alley-oop dunk was the best of the year. I loved seeing this TEAM take it to the Jazz. Instead of Mobley burning the Jazz, or Francis burning the Jazz, it was the TEAM that burned the Jazz. It feels great.

Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.

Damn you Clippers - We are way better than you guys... come on Clutch admit it - don't say you really believe Clips to be better than us.

But this league just dont work that way that every better team win all the time, homecourt matter (6 wins in a row now), if your game is on or not (shots were not falling vs Clips but did now), if opponents game is on or not, and back to backs. Its not like Clippers only beat us, and Utah havent lost to worse teams than us - hell they have lost 20 games to teams worse than us (just kidding - but you guys do know that Rockets are the best in the league? Damn that the record do not reflect that fact...)

I still believe that we will make the playoffs, but its hanging by a thin thread. In fact perhaps will is a too strong word... put in can instead. We really need Wolves to start losing and we can not lose more than 2 games the rest of the way. (Of course we can, but we really should get away with only 1 loss or noone to really get a good playoff chance, if we lose 3 then Wolves (or Suns) would have to do real, real bad, or lose someone important to injury, and we do not hope for that).

B'LiEvE!!!
