Heard about that movie a while back, I was curious about it. Look like it could be kind of funny but could get old really fast as well
In my dreams you're blowing me.... some kisses. youtube version <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CVMiW11SEmw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CVMiW11SEmw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I laughed when he randomly was in his underwear and flipped a car. Otherwise it kinda looks like a Talladega Nights clone
Yeah, Jack White is Elvis. Putting Jack White and Jack Black in the same film...doesn't that cause some sort of quantum singularity to form.
John R is an absolute treasure of an actor. People may never realize just how good he is, because he will never be cast in the classical leading man roles, but in terms of pure talent, he has got to be in the top five of working actors of his generation today. Now I never bothered to see Ray or Walk the Line, so this movie may lose me a bit, but it looks brilliant, here's hoping that they have another good showing.
may be the first failure from these makers. superbad is a sure hit as was 40 year old virgin and knocked up.
it was working two days on the set with director Jake Kasdan, John C Reilly, Cheryl Tiegs, and Jenna Fischer... one day was on location in a public courtyard, near City Hall, in a protest scene, and the other was in a studio simulating a live studio audience for "The Dewey Cox Show" the last image where you hear a disco version of Cox's hit "Walk Hard" is the latter scene I am talking about... Cox goes through different phases during his career, and his disco era is trying to capitalize on his hit title hit from the 60's "Walk Hard"... he just does a disco version of the song to revitalize his career. he also sings a couple of duets with Tiegs... my girlfriend worked a third day and Tim Meadows was on set and sat down and ate lunch with a bunch of extras and started initiating conversation with all the girls at the table. my girlfriend said he couldnt have been a nicer guy... the protest scene was hilarious... in this phase of his career, Dewey Cox is going through his Bob Dylan phase and has a hit song called "There's a Change A-Happenin" he also sings a song for Mulatto Rights which is quite funny and one line in another protest songs says " I sing for the midget, I sing for the Injun, I sing for the bum in the box, I sing for the Jew..." John C Reilly is an amazing actor. watching him work alongside director Jake Kasdan was alot of fun. he improvised almost every scene and played and sang the songs during each take. they only pumped in music for one song "Letter to a President," and Reilly was interacting with the crowd in between takes, making sure everyone had enough water, as it was a hot day in May... It was alot of fun and I had never done anything like that before, but to be on a set taking direction from a director and being in a Jud Apatow produced movie was a very rewarding experience...
the 70's studio scenes were shot at "The Lot" on Formosa in Hollywood, and the 60's protest scene was shot on location in downtown LA, near a bunch of Federal buildings and courthouses, in a public park area... my lady worked all the way down in Long Beach at a studio in a port, I believe
