honestly I think they stuck with Carr so don't cut him but just take that QB OF THE FUTURE TAG off him he may have to sit behind the next guy Rocket River
Everybody is piling on Carr. Everybody forgets 3 of the 5 linemen were out... even if the subs were better, the rush is much better. Our line overall SUCKS. So you agree that ANYBODY back there will have problems throwing the ball with the line we have? So... it's not CARR's fault, is it? Thank you, Rocket River, you said what I wanted to say, and also what I am trying to explain here. If they really wanted to lose, they would have started Van Pelt today.
Given that Carr's role was reduced to "hand off to Ron Dayne", how exactly would Van Pelt have been worse? Half of the Raiders' points were due to a Carr fumble.
So if you have a crappy QB and a crappy line, the crappy QB gets a free pass? For how long? We're at 5 years now. Should we go 7? 10? 15?
Major, if you get speared like that, I guaran-damn-tee you you'd lose the ball, too. Why didn't those sacking rushers get stopped at the line? Not really. I saw something BAD yesterday. All I am saying is that it's not even 75% Carr's fault. It's the DANG LINE... the DANG running game... why couldn't Ron Dayne do that the times we had a good passing game, like those 2 wins against Jacksonville?
wait...the running game was there yesterday. the passing game was absolutely absent. it's time to (finally) hold the QB accountable.
There's nothing personal in defending Carr. All I'm saying is that it's not entirely his fault. YES, he has to improve so much. NO, he didn't have a Gary Kubiak before. YES, he throws interceptions... heck, even freakin' Brady threw interceptions before.... NO, he's not Vince Young (leg speed, strong upper body, etc.), but he won't win if the entire team does not cooperate. Somebody, anybody...? Say TEAM... don't say ONE DUDE made us lose.
well, as hard as he tried, he couldn't keep us from winning yesterday. he's a weak link, swoly. that position needs to be upgraded.
Since he has now the person to help him upgrade himself, it's not a restart? Don't call it a comeback. He's been here for years. Seriously, all you dudes thinking "This is his last year to prove something" need to reconsider that it's been only ONE YEAR behind the Kubster. I am seeing much improvement. I don't see consistency, and that's probably what's going to be addressed in the off season. I expect that with MOULDS and JOHNSON we have a consistent ONE-TWO punch. Carr knows he can give it to them, but he needs protection. OK, I agree right now he is a WEAK LINK. Nobody gives him time to become a strong link, though. How come they don't address the line's problems?
Matt Leinart has a crappy offensive line in Arizona and he is getting better with each game. Leinart and Young know how to lead a team. Carr doesn't look like a leader out there. Carr for his own sake should want to be playing elsewhere at this point.
Agreed! However if you have a piece of property with a view you love, but a house you hate which has a cracked foundation; you don't replace the house until you either repair or replace the foundation! I thought all Houstonians understood that! One reason they went to the run is because run blocking is simplier than pass blocking, especially with Kubiak's blocking scheme.
that might be the worst analogy ever. yeah..and the week before it was the running game's fault that DC didn't do well. the week before that AJ dropped some balls. the week before that the OL was the problem again. next week it will be updawg's fault.
Maybe I need to see that interview on my own... and watch his body language... I just am not seeing what you dudes are seeing about Kubiak. Heck yes, I'd be pissed, too. Heck yes, he played poorly yesterday. I am not denying that. Anyone has a good link to a video interview?
