It's been a strange year for me. I've had a lot of issues with my wife over communication/trust and issues with my mother, but it's things I think we've got worked out now. On the other hand, we had a great year when it came to our son. He's an amazing kid. Then, I lose my job of 7 years back in March, only to find a dream job a couple months later. 2007 was a tough year, but I'm hoping 2008 will be much better. Here are the things I'm resolving to accomplish in the new year... Be a better husband Lose weight Get better with saving money to get new house What are yours?
1.) Get an engagement ring and propose. 2.) Eat Healthy / Lose Weight 3.) Drink water instead of diet sodas.
1. Lose weight 2. Be more consistent with exercise 3. Involve myself more in activities at my church 4. Spend more time with my parents and grandmother
You sick b*stard. My main resolution was going to be stop smoking, but I started that on November 22 and haven't looked back. OK, that last part was a lie, but I haven't succumbed to the temptations yet. Don't plan on it either. So now, here are my main resolutions: 1. Be a better person. I've met the greatest woman and have never felt so fulfilled in that aspect of my life. It's made me want to be a better man in other areas of my life. I hope that I can give back to the community in ways I never have in my 31 years. 2. Lose 20 lbs. I'll throw getting into shape and eating better here as well. Luckily, I have two roommates, a girlfriend and family members who all share this same goal so we all have a good support system in place to make this happen. 3. Write more. My roommates and I have been toying with the idea of writing a screenplay and this is something I'd really like to pursue this year. It doesn't hurt that we have a couple of contacts who we could send it to if we ever completed it. 4. Be a better uncle. I'm pretty much a terrible uncle. Two of my nieces are moving to the area next week and that'll put four of my nieces/nephews in the area. No excuse. 5. This is another one that I've already seen changes in, but I'm not going to take sports so seriously anymore. I used to let my team's losses ruin my day and make me say really stupid **** to people. I don't do that any longer. I'm not going to let something that 5 guys or 9 guys or 11 guys do or don't do affect my life. I'm still going to enjoy watching the games and root for my team until I lose my voice, but at the end of the day, it's entertainment. Nothing to take too seriously. 6. Find a real career.
Im taking my son surfing in Mexico, so I have to drop 15 lbs. Be a better person for my wife. Be a better father.
Lose 20 pounds before wedding. After the wedding, I will turn into a fat slob again, you know...since it doesn't matter anymore. Successfully impregnate my wife. Finish my ACP and get a teaching job. Time to actually start USING my degree. To hell with corporate America. Land a steady (paying) church gig. Might already have this one wrapped up before the end of the year. Sell my house Sell my fiancee's house Buy new house
i was wondering why you haven't been in Texans/Titans thread lately. really, i remember saying to myself, "RM95 sure has been quiet about this."
Yeah, I blame (well not really blame because it has been nice) the Rockets. I'm so sick and tired of being disappointed by them that I've decided screw it, I'm not going to let it bother me anymore.
I think this will be a good year, for me personally. - Be a better husband and dad. You can always improve on these things no matter how good you think you are at them. - Lose Weight/Get in much better shape (Didn't realize how far gone I was) - Make more music (since I started back in music school, it seems my own personal music has suffered (I have written, but it's been mostly assignments (arrangements/ compositions), but my music has grown, tremendously, so I'm excited about getting back to some original stuff, having theoretical knowledge and practice in different genres and styles. - Graduate College (Undergrad either in 8-08 or 12-08) I'll take a semester or two off to re-energize and on to Graduate school for more torture. - *Maybe* Get a Nintendo Wii......I played my nephew and niece's Wii that they got for Christmas and got hooked. (Although this might me counterproductive to making music, considering it's addictive nature)
Sure, I can make a list of things that I wont follow through on.. 1. Spend less time here.. 2. Watch less TV..
