Yao played great tonight. But he played 40+ minutes!! And this trend may continue. I really hope Daryl finds some way to get Mutombo back into the rox jersey. He is much needed vs 7 foot centers who can rebound and play down low. We also really need to give yao some rest so we'll be fresh in the playoffs.
I hope they wait as long as possible to sign him, like a month or two before the playoffs start or something. I want Deke to be as rested as possible. He's done his thing for so long, he'll know what to do and won't need much time to get ready. With that said, I really do hope Adelman plays Yao less minutes. He's played a ton in the first two games.
wow , thats something i havent ever heard of before, nice to see you contributing to the GARM and starting a thread on a topic which has been discussed at least 10 million times but since the rockets won and im in an exceptional mood, who cares, yay! go rockets!
I don't care. I just don't want to see yao down again or over used and exhausted by the time playoff starts.
Why not? I was about to start a thread just like this too. Yao play 38 minutes in game 1 and 41 minutes in game 2. We need Deke back as soon as possible.
adelman needs to learn to rest yao. this is the same thing that happened last year when yao was playing a career high in minutes. i'm totally fine for sacrificing a few wins with yao resting up for the long haul. adelman should know it's not about how you start, but how you finish. but then again, both scola and landry had 5 fouls a piece. and we needed a win against the mavs who have been our achilles heel in the past.
I want Mutombo to lead the bench cheering again. Thats important. Our bench wasn't nearly as enthusiastic in the first three quarters as it was last year. When Yao rejected Terry I looked to the bench and was sad when I didn't see Mutombo wagging his finger for Yao.
Deke played maybe 10 minutes a game before Yao went down. He can come now. Stamina isn't a problem of his. The only reason he's not signed already is because Adelman is deciding which rookie to keep on the Rockets and who to send to the NBDL.
To help ease Yao's minutes, rebound, and barricade the rim...would like to see Mutombo play some, waive finger...\/\/\/...every now and then... and cherish these wins one by one...
yea , I think thats it too. Send von wafer and bring Deke back. Or give Von wafer one shot to wow us against the Thunder, if not send him to NBDL.
True, but all of the traveling and practice, and just the NBA grind in general takes a toll on anyone especially a 40+ year old. That's why I wouldn't mind seeing him signed later.
