Shameless self promo. I've been invited to cook on a local TV show today as part of a Summer grilling series they do every Friday. Any of the Minnesota Clutchfans (and yes there are more than one of us) can catch me on KARE 11 during the 4-4:30PM segment with highlights during the 5PM segment. Otherwise you can catch me online at: http://www.kare11.com/life/recipes/mikesbbq/?GID=J9MhfQ8bTWCo6wsiV2YmvLhq2QskIfqlSSodAfeMRWQ= I'm going to be grilling my Texas-Chinese ribs and plan on sporting my Stros cap.
Wow! I'm gonna watch! That's pretty cool man, not too many people get to be on TV, let alone be the focal point of the Show.
Thanks for the plug but I'm not going to be the focal point of the show. My segment will be about 5 minutes out of a 25 minute broadcast.
Congrats! Enjoy your 5 minutes! Most of us will never get 5 minutes on TV. And, those ribs sound delicious. Need to print that recipe on here.
REP+ just for being on TV, you attention w****. Post the video, yotube, Hulu, or photos of the ribs later, sir.
I'd watch it, but I'll be on my way to the beach. Congratulations on getting to cook on TV. I'd love to taste those Ribs.
If you don't work in a Rockets/Clutchfans reference or shout out, don't bother showing up back here. I'll start the suggestions- It's summer people supposed to.............grill.
Give a secret signal or work in a Clutchfans meme for us. Maybe do the Sam Cassell big balls dance when you walk on screen. Or say 'It's summer, people suppose to get barbeque.' Good luck!
Good one! I will try to slip in a Clutchfans signal. One problem though is that its raining right now in MN and I have to grill up some ribs to bring so they can show the finish product. Unfortunately I don't a covered area to grill under.
There's been plenty of Clutchfans on TV. There's Raheel and Nunzio and hasn't Clutch been on TV a few times?
Great stuff. curious -- how'd you get on the show? Is there a demand for cooking tips from former Houstonian, jodokan master, irish ballad singin', urban planners in Minny?
You just send in your recipe and if they like it they invite you on. The recipe should be on the video link. I will post it but if it isn't I will post the recipe here.
Being on TV is a blast. I did a few segments on Lexington television when I was in college. I worked as a craft specialist at Garden Ridge and they had me on several times to demo different activities. I hope you can youtube it for us and good luck!
