I met him at the Smeg world tour over Heypartner's before the game, and talked to him, Fatty, and Castor for most of the time along with many of the others like RIET, Lynus, RM95, etc.

And like you said Batman, not what I expected either. However, I guess I shouldn't be surprised it turned out like that. If everyone acted in real life like they do on the BBS, then this place wouldn't be a good escape place from the real world.

You should have gone up to him and said "CASE CLOSED, ROOKIE!!":D

I would have to say that Batman was the same as I would have pegged him to be. I couldn't tell if he was attempting to rile me up or if it was just him being him when he called me "Georgie" and "baby", but I let it go without incident. There are certain behavioral and attitudinal expectations that one would expect to see in the theater crowd, and I think that Batman lived up to those. The main character in the play, which I'm assuming was portraying Batman, did a very good job of imitating the type of personality I would expect from him. Kind of the introspective, passive/aggressive personality.

Bear in mind that I was there with that girl that I was trying to impress, so I wasn't going to bust out with the whole "you and the extreme liberal left disgust me" routine in front of her. It was bad enough when they turned the air conditioning off in the back and I started sweating profusely. During the intermission I had to stand directly under a vent in hopes of drying off. In terms of my behavior, I think it just underscores the power of societal norms and expectations. In public one must act a certain way to achieve one's objectives and to fit in. On this BBS, one can put forth true opinions and behaviors without suffering the same social consequences. I think I'm a good example of the average right winger -- friendly in person, but staunch in my political beliefs in private.

Overall the play was strong. Good character development, good banter and dialogue between the actors, and I thought your team did a good job of taking the audience through all the emotions in one play. I did enjoy seeing Lifeguard being broken down emotionally. My critique of plays, much like others' critiques of financial matters, is certainly amateurish, however.

    So you acted Liberal.

Its hard to act Liberal, the AC excuse just doesn't cut it. Liberal's are known for their cool laid back nature, sweating at a play would never happen.

    So was your objective achieved----?

Not sure why you threw that in there----:D

I must say though i'm quite impressed that simply meeting you warrants a thread, you must by quite a Rockets fan. :p :)

Jorge, seriously, it was good to meet you. You're a nice guy and I don't believe you when you say that's the act. I think it's a little of both. I appreciate you coming out. Sorry bout the AC. It is just too loud. Last night was the worst night for it. Most nights we blast the AC all day and it gets freezing in there, which makes it more bearable when we turn it off. Yesterday, I guess, was just a very hot day and it didn't work as well so, apologies.

And I had a feeling you'd like that Lifeguard stuff. Glad you did.

Uhhh...Batman gave you a compliment (a little backhanded, but still) and you fire back with this? Not good dude.

And as for the theater crowd...I think it best for you to check your preconceived notions in at the door. You never know which Tom, Dick or Refman may have ties to the theater.

I wasn't being critical in my response. I applauded his play. I had a good time. He was friendly. You're reading too much into it Refman.

Having me both Batman 90210 Jones and Trader_HoreHey, i think it seems approriate to say they are both top blokes and definitely not as far apart as they seem on the board and i certainly enjoued catching up with them both during the SWT.

Are you talking about Chance's concert last night at the Rajin Cajun? Yes, I was there along with bigtexxx. It was an awesome concert.
