OK, I just got invited to this show. Tickets are $50 a piece.

Just wondering if anyone has seen him lately and if it's worth it. Normally it would be a no brainer but, with all of his recent problems, I wonder if it will be a huge letdown.

I'm a huge fan, but I've never seen him live. Should I bother?

Holy Cow! I've always wanted to see JB before he dies. This may be my big chance.

He was supposed to play on my birthday around 10 years ago but cancelled to go perform at the summer Olympics. I had tickets and everything. I'm still poed about it.

Still it's freaking James Brown! 50 bucks yikes...

Hadn't heard that. Wake me up when he brings Andy and Stewie with him. ;)

Not sure if you're kidding or not, but it's actually a pretty good point. Living history that might not be around for much longer. Plus, no matter what kind of shape he's in, I'm sure the band will be SMOKIN'.

    I'm thinking maybe I'll go.

I saw James Brown at a Blues/Jazz concert in London a couple years back. He puts on a very entertaining show.

You might as well go see him. He's getting very very old and you might regret missing your opportunity to see a legend before he died.

If the tickets are free, why not go?

I saw him at Fitzgeralds, of all places, in 1982. Great show, but a short one.

JB is definitely someone you want to see in concert before he's gone.

Couldn't most singers have that label now or at one point in their career?

Get up off of that thing!

Got my tickets a few days ago. I can't wait. Like I said before, living history. No way do I not go. A drugged up James Brown will still be better than 95% of all other performers in their prime. And like I said, I'll bet the band will be amazing.

That was my thinking...even if JB doesn't bring his "A game" the band should still be worth the price of admission.

I saw in 01 at the verizon. I had a great time. U got to see the hardest working man in showbizness before he dies. I even got to shake his hand. If only i could hae seen him in his hayday. That would have been awesome.

    Tonight is the night.

I haven't heard of JB being arrested so I'm guessing it's still on and I'll be there.

If you watch VH1 Behind the Music, everyone hits a low point, some lower then others.

The Godfather of Soul tore it up tonight. Actually, his BAND tore it up. I could have listed to them play all night. JB seemed to have a good time out there and can still sing pretty good, although he couldn't or didn't try to hit some of the high notes.

I will say the seating at the Verizon SUCKS! Those table seats BLOW!
