Incredible Hulk trailer. Finally! I'm hoping that it makes up for the one that Ang Lee did. I like this design much better than the last, and the darker overtones gives it a kind of Frankenstein feel. Iron Man, Dark Knight and this, it's going to be a good summer! http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=215625 <div style="margin:0; background-color:#212121; width:423px;"><embed src="http://www.mtv.com/player/embed/" width="423" height="318" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" FlashVars="CONFIG_URL=http://www.mtv.com/player/embed/configuration.jhtml%3Fvid%3D215625&allowFullScreen=true" allowFullScreen="true" base="." allowScriptAccess="always" ></embed><div style="background-color:#212121; margin:0 0 0 0; padding:0 0 2px 0; width:423px; text-align:center; overflow:auto; min-width:423px;"><ul style="margin:0; padding:0; list-style:none line-height: 1.2em;"><li style="margin-right:4px; display:inline;"><a style="padding:0px 4px 0px 10px; font-family:Verdana,sans-serif; color:#439CD8; font-size:10px; text-decoration:none; background:url(http://www.mtv.com/sitewide/images/u/arrow-links.gif) 2px 2px no-repeat;" href="http://www.mtv.com/" onmouseover="this.style.textDecoration='underline'"onmouseout="this.style.textDecoration='none'" target="_blank">MTV</a></li><li style="margin-right:4px; display:inline;"><a style="padding:0px 4px 0px 10px; font-family:Verdana,sans-serif; color:#439CD8; font-size:10px; text-decoration:none; background:url(http://www.mtv.com/sitewide/images/u/arrow-links.gif) 2px 2px no-repeat;" href="http://www.mtv.com/music/video/index.jhtml" onmouseover="this.style.textDecoration='underline'" onmouseout="this.style.textDecoration='none'" target="_blank">Music Videos</a></li><li style="margin-right:4px; display:inline;"><a style="padding:0px 4px 0px 10px; font-family:Verdana,sans-serif; color:#439CD8; font-size:10px; text-decoration:none; background:url(http://www.mtv.com/sitewide/images/u/arrow-links.gif) 2px 2px no-repeat;" href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/" onmouseover="this.style.textDecoration='underline'" onmouseout="this.style.textDecoration='none'" target="_blank">MTV Shows</a></li><li style="margin-right:4px; display:inline;"><a style="padding:0px 4px 0px 10px; font-family:Verdana,sans-serif; color:#439CD8; font-size:10px; text-decoration:none; background:url(http://www.mtv.com/sitewide/images/u/arrow-links.gif) 2px 2px no-repeat;" href="http://www.mtv.com/news/" onmouseover="this.style.textDecoration='underline'" onmouseout="this.style.textDecoration='none'" target="_blank">Entertainment News</a></li></ul></div></div>
I like Lee, but his Hulk movie was pretty bad. This trailer was good, but the ending kind of gave too much out, IMO. And it's still hard to have a CGI Hulk look right it seems.
I liked Ang Lee's Abomination is not a good villian to me also . . . him working with the government to take him down is not good either Rocket River
I actually really liked Ang Lee's version... ...and after watching the trailer for this new one, I'm thinking Lee's version could very well turn out to be the better one. Maybe I'll be wrong, but the trailer seemed rather dull, reminiscent of any other typical action flick.
Well, the story line for Ang Lee's was pretty damn dark too. Especially the added stuff of his father having murdered his mother. It was dark and intelligent but I get that at times it was kind of boring and I did not like the final act at all. This trailer did not blow me away. Also, the last thing I read is that Norton is clashing with Marvel Studios over the final cut of the movie (claims he was told he'd have a huge say in the final cut).
Umm. Yeah. OK. Am I the only one who thought Lou Ferrigno was the perfect personification of the Hulk back in the 70's? Sorry, but they should have another bodybuilder painted green for this character. You can still do CGI, but it doesn't come off as fake, much like in Spiderman and The Matrix. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AQRDHS2sVes&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AQRDHS2sVes&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
They so busy trying to make the Hulk Larger than Life Which he is suppose to be . . . In the Ang Lee version I liked how he grew as he got angry. Rocket River
i am in the boat that liked the Ang Lee version, but the 2+ hour length was a bit too long for me, this "reboot" looks interesting, at least they are on his side not like Lee's version where they thought he the "bad" guy.
Is this an official Marvel movie? Damn. Fail again. Definitely gonna flop. I guess Street Fighter is primed to flop again too. But thats a sequel I think. Oh well.
There's something strange about their motion when they run at each other towards the end of the trailer. I liked Lee's, but I thought it didn't utilize The Hulk's full potential. I'll give the new one a chance, but I think it's more of a lateral move rather than the upgrade a reboot's supposed to be.
The best thing about this movie is the casting of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Certainly they're setting up the potential for an Avengers movie in the future.
ang lee's hulk movie might have worked if all the cgi and action scenes were cut out. i get the feeling he let the animators do their thing, he did his thing with the actors, and when they went into the editing room it just didn't work. oh yeah, whoever came up with the idea of using the comics sans font that was terrible. as for this new hulk movie. norton looks like he'd be the ideal casting for he leader. with the glowing eyes nod to the tv series i wonder if it's going to be a little campy. the cgi and character designs look awful.
One thing I didn't like was the design of the Abomination. I'm glad they DID go with a gamma guy, and I'm fine with the Abomination. I just wish they would have kept the head similar. Maybe they will at least keep the character Russian. Speaking of gamma guys, I would have had The Leader as the villian- I always saw him as The Hulk's arch-enemy. I also liked the first Hulk movie, although I thought it was a little deep for most audiences, and they should have had more villians than dogs and military.
Frankly, I thought this trailer looked pretty sick. If you don't like action scenes, don't buy a ticket to a comic book movie! I thought Ang Lee had a couple of interesting ideas. However, the movie was seriously flawed. Most maddening was that the action scenes were brief and sucky. I like the attempt to address the source of Banner's rage, but the whole Daddy storyline was pathetic. Hulk Dogs? This was horrible, this idea! The effort to make Banner emotionless was interesting, but unfortunately it just played as bad acting. Hulk's meditative experience in the desert was pretty, but what I really wanted to see was Hulk wrecking ****. God willing, that's what we'll get with this movie.
That's actually not true. Ang Lee put on a motion capture suit and acted out a lot of the Hulk's movements.
I'm 10x more interested in seeing this than the original Hulk. I mean...it's the freakin' Incredible Hulk! I don't want some melodramatic psychological BS (even if those themes are presented in the comics themselves) I want HULK SMASH!!!
