What do you think is the single best predictor of Presidential Victory?
    I rank them like this
    1. Money
    2. Likeability
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Issues.

    As I watch the elections
I think Hillary's biggest problem is . . .people just don't like her
even those that don't hate her. . just like Obama more

of the Group of republicans. . . McCain was the most likable

    Look at the last elections
Pick who is most likeable. . and you will see who won
    Carter - Reagan
    Reagan - Mondale
    Bush Sr - Dukakis
    Bush Sr - Clinton
    Dole - Clinton
    Gore - Bush
    Kerry - Bush
    Hillary - Obama - McCain

Carter was likeable. . but Reagan was more so . .and Carter was less likeable with the economic issues
Mondale - Dukakis - Gore - Kerry . . even Bush Sr. seem to be just Dry dry dry dry
Not totally unlikable but just dry

    ON the Scale of Likeability
    Hillary << McCain and Obama
    IMO at this point

I'm totally with you on likeable...the only exception I can think of is Nixon. But in most elections, the more likeable candidate wins.

Hussein Ubama: The candidate who has no substance, but he has a good voice and is "likeable". Barf. Let's put our thinking caps on, people

instead of likable, you should say that it's the type of person you would want to go to the ballgame with and have a beer.

If it was about being liked, Mike Huckabee would be running away with the nomination and preparing to face President John Edwards.

The fear you increasingly display here at the possibility of facing Obama in the election is highly entertaining.

Going on Likable, I thought it was interesting that in the debate tonight the audience booed when Hillary started going negative, and that change we can xerox line.

They also gave a standing ovation when Hillary was completely civil and announced that she would stand in unity with the party and that she was honored(repeat that she was honored 3 times) to be on the stage with Obama. That was her best moment.

It is just interesting how much going negative hasn't worked in this campaign, and how much people want to like the candidates.

this is for the general election, and not necessarily for primaries.

We would have had President Gore if we did this.

i will disagree with the likeability in the primaries because the candidates don't have to appeal to both sides, but rather a base of the respective party.

but this is why i think obama will beat mccain. johnboy comes across as cranky and stubborn as opposed to obama who is youthful. reagan on the other hand was old but quick witted with his responses such as, "i won't hold your youth or inexperience against you." when talking to mondale. likeability > age.

this is probably unintelligible ramblings but that's what happens after 7 of these
